They need CRJ's for the CAL flying and training has pretty much stopped here no one to fly for upgrades. Possible vacation cancel which will mean plenty more to jump ship. Anyone hear anything like this?

This may be an odd question, but why did RAH have to go out and add CRJ's to the mix for just for CAL? I've seen the post about the CRJ not cutting it on several of the routes. Looks like a round peg in ye ol' square hole. Or the government has taken over RAH...

Better yet, I'm curious how they outbid everyone who already operates CRJs. RAH had to tag on the price of getting everyone trained from the start. A foolish overextension that will likely cause Republic some growing pains.

Supposedly the leases on the ex-FlyI airplanes was sooooooooo low it made financial sense to take on another fleet type as the 145 market was fairly sparse. The cost of spooling the airplanes up, getting pilots/FAs/mechanics trained, securing a parts supply chain and the subsequent issues with the airplanes being pressed into XR routes it has no business flying almost have to have mitigated its benefit...
