Couple questions for those in the know:

Good company?

Starting pay for an FO? Raises?

Quality of life?

Training or employment contract?

Schedule?

I know there will be at least two openings in next month if that helps.

Not exactly a stellar endorsement. How many would there be w/o those contracts???

Mr. I.

The contract is the turnoff. Make the job attractive and people will stick around. Don’t lock them in with a contract to keep them. Have a fun summer.

Decent company, mostly good people to work with
$25K -- we get the word on a raise on Tues
$2.00/ hr per diem
18 mo contract
6 and 4 schedule
Quality of life isn't bad, just had 8 days off. I can't complain too much

Word on the street is the new starting pay is $28,000 and $3000ish bump for everybody else. I also heard something about NOT having to live in NH. (One hour from a Southwest serviced airport.) If that is the case I think that will almost solve the hiring problem. We will see on Tues. I still think that contract has got to go. Not to mention you can’t hold someone to a work contract in NH. Live free or die.

18 month contract for a single engine turboprop when a pilot could get right seat RJ time with 500-700 hours? Is management in touch with reality or are the pilots signing the contract not in touch?

Mr. I.

I can't imagine why someone would give up a chance to fly an RJ as an FO to fly a single-engine turbine as an FO. I guess you get some great variety in the PC-12 and it is apparently a blast to fly, but regionals like COEX and Eagle provide some good variety too. I guess the pay and the upgrade time at Alpha Flying would have to be the deciding factors to win people over... A new domicile system would help too. Otherwise, why bother going to AF with all of the regionals hiring?

If you are really intent on getting into the fractional business, getting good regional jet time will certainly help and you won't need to log SIC time on a turbine single.

So is that true about not having to live in NH, being allowed to live within one hour of a SW serviced airport?
