Probably a little tired of a union that is a joke..... Brand scope didn't work out in the RedTail family....
Joe, I have been reading your junk for awhile. You are really fixated on this brand scope stuff. You really need to get some therapy if you think this guy ever bought into that brand scope garbage.
He's going back to flying for Pinnacle, right? He's not retiring for good, right? What's going on? Nothing, really. He's just worn out after years and years of this. I believe he's the second longest-serving MEC Chairman in ALPA right now. That job is a major drain on anyone. With the company unwilling to reach a TA in the foreseeable future, I can definitely understand his desire to hang it up.

He may be your next Director of Operations.
I'm not fixated on it..... ALPA is.... If it is "garbage", then maybe we need to question our union.... it s they who are selling this "garbage"....

Good. He'll still be flying for us. He was a check-airman years ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if he applied for that again since we still have openings.
I talked to someone today who said he might be going to Airtran.

I know you're an MEC member, PCL, give us the truth. Did he resign or was he forced out?
He truthfully resigned. We just held MEC Officer elections about a month ago and he was reelected. I think he was probably expecting us to finish up with a TA this month and just wanted to see that through. After the company turned down our very fair offer last week, I think he realized it was going to be a little while longer and didn't want to serve out another entire two-year term. His likely successor is a great guy, a dedicated trade-unionist, and very experienced in ALPA work. Wake will also assist during the transition to whoever is elected, so things should go very smoothly.
Certainly it won't take a whole two year term.
Actually, it very well could be another two years. Management's response to our offer was not very encouraging. We're preparing for the long-haul now.
Nice. Your MEC should get with our MEC. So much for "Takin' it Back".
Ain't that the sad truth? With Comair, the excuse was Bankruptcy. But with Pinnacle, the pilots really do owe it to themselves to be patient. I am going to go out back right now and beat my tree with a stick.Nice. Your MEC should get with our MEC. So much for "Takin' it Back".
He is nothing but a puppet. And not a very good one I may add.
I think you've been listening to John B. too much lately. You can't "take it back" when the NMB refuses to follow the intent of the law. Sometimes you just have to be patient.
DoinTime,
I thought he was ours but I don't recall him diong much for us.
