Memo just came out about giving up your Feb thru May vacation for premium pay or late vacation. For RJ/R7 Crew only. Huh! if Crew planning & recruting did their job, It would not have come to this. I wonder how many people are falling for this? I am going to Hawaii end this month to beginning of next. Have fun guys & gals!!!!!!!!!!

why do you care - i talked to a another 700 captain who gave up his week 1, got a better week and picked up 2 three days at time and a half - he was thrilled.

another guy told me he was paid 115 hours in credit for feb, with 14 days off.

if people want to make some extra money let them do it.

Ca$h.....money...Get it while you can!

By summer, ASA will likely be parted-out.

I don't care, just getting the message on the board and expressing my general opnion. I don't think it was directed towards you now, was it? You don't have to be an @$$ about it.

Until pilots quit fixing management's problems, there will be no change. And people wonder why negotiations are at 4+ years. I love flying with guys that b!tch about management and the pace of negotiations in one breath, and then tell about all the extra time they picked up with the next. Can't see the forest for the trees.

But don't worry. A fresh batch of 600 hr wonders are interviewing today.

....unless Scheduling cancels his vacation.

The other posters are correct. If pilots continue to pick up trips, and ease the staffing crunch, then why would mangagement ever staff properly or negotiate a contract with you?

....sigh....this is why I left ASA. I can see the pilot group hasn't changed.

If they cancel my vacation, a VOLCANO is going to explode. And you are correct. If people give in, then why would mngmt change their polocies. Now I also understand that some people need more money than time off for their family and the family needs. But everyone does not have to cave in. Again this is just an OPNION for you people that take comments on here personnally.

Thank you to all the other people who said go enjoy Hawaii!!!!
