Working for Republic/Chautauqua Airlines

I am considering working for this airline in ground operations at their DCA location. Is this a good company to work for?

It is without a doubt one of "the better" regionals to work for, as a pilot. I dunno about being a ramper.

How many pilots are in IAH base right now? Are new hires going there? How is commute from Florida?

I didn't know Chautauqua had any ground services of their own. I guess I'm not familiar with their USAirways operation, do they have ground service for USAirways?

I think mainline does it.... they only have MX there I am told.

Chautauqua used to run the ramp for American Connection in STL. They got replaced about a year ago by TSA rampers, which was almost immediately followed by a major reduction in the quality of the operation.

The gate agents (the new ones) got worse. The ramp is the same or better.

I really hope you are doing a really really good reseach about this commute, because your family QOL will be down to minimums and you will end up with ME...PAPI CHULO!!!
