We have been notified by the City of Atlanta/Airport Authority that Lot 3 will be turned into a passenger lot. There is no firm date on when this would happen but we could be forced to move out as early as 30 days from now. Part of our requirements for moving is that a suitable lot is available to our employees.
The Camp Creek lot is available but Delta has advised that the lot is nearing capacity. ASA ACS (Airport Customer Service) management will continue to issue parking permits for that lot for now. The City has advised us that the former Northwest Hangar on the south side of the airport is probably the likely place for ATL airline employee parking. The bus ride from there to the terminal will be 22 minutes.
In light of the recent announcement of our ramp/gate personnel transferring to Delta, the Camp Creek lot may reach capacity prior to June 1. I do not know how to advise you, if you have a Lot 3 permit. Whether or not you should turn it in now so you can secure your place at Camp Creek. Delta could move all ASA employees out of Camp Creek in order to accommodate the incoming 1400 ramp/gate personnel.
As more information is available, you will be notified ASAP.

yeehaa! and the hits just keep coming....

...so, if we can't park there soon...like what was said on another thread, how come some new faces from other airlines have been in there?

I'll park IN the hangar...no more super hot steamy car to get into. It'll be like executive parking.

ASA will now use the Turner Field parking lot, except when the Braves are in town, then the employee lot will be located in the stone mountain park overflow lot. transportation will be provided by two Airserv Econoline E-150 vans on a continuously operating rotation.

The bus ride to the NW hanger being 22 min is BS. A few years ago when we were still using Clark Howell and they were doing construction on the road, the bus had to go the other way around the airport and PAST the NW hanger to get to CH. That ride TOTAL was only about 20 min. And if they actually have bus service that runs like Lot 3 does, then it won't be that bad.

Camp creek does not sound so bad now! This is just funny... Remember, what goes around comes around

22 minute ride to work from the parking lot? Good luck with the 5AM shows. I see some late originators............

Your the one with the parking lot problem, not me. I live close enough that it won't make that big of difference.

Your trailer has a hitch right? Why don't you just pay someone to move it closer to the airport!
Just pray you don't get another flat tire or you'll never get it out of that park!
