- ASA - Tents in Lot 3

Road the crewbus yesterday. Saw white tents in Lot 3...the sheds are gone.

I guess we'll be going to camp creek soon huh.

Driver from Camp Creek last night said MARTA is going through lot 3 and that the airport was painting parking stripes over at the NW hangar and all the sheds are going on lot 3.

I thought that according to TSA, lot 3 was too close to runways for public parking.

Has the TSA reversed its opinion or is Atlanta pulling a "mayor Daley"

sure seems funny how they are reducing the number of ASA people in lot 3, but INCREASING the number of other carriers there, like AA, AW, etc. There have been tthree times as many as them in lot 3 lately, and when asked they said they were new to this lot.

Do we have a choice between the old NW Maint. hangar, or Camp Creek?

That's the temporary housing for the former DFW-SLC-LAX nomads until they find new living arrangements in ATL.:erm:

Yes, lot 3 is too close to the runway according to the TSA. However it is not too close for Valet parking for the Elite passengers. Money over rules safety.
