OK, for whatever reason, Im having a brain fart,. who flys CRJs under Continental Connection colors? Saw one is GSO yesterday. I cant recall seeing any CRJs in those colors.

cheap date chaneequa that is who...

must be chaneequa... that is the only one. we CAL pilots hate chaneequa. there performance sucks. they have broken on my buddy who commutes out of COS, weight restricted, cancelled. poor guys commute has been hell.

Yea but you guys are flabby. If everyone was like me (rock-hard abs & 3% body fat) then there wouldn't be these ridiculous type of weight restrictions. We are becoming nothing but a country of fatties! Soon, there will be weight restrictions on every flight thats even close to capacity! AMERICA FUK YEA!

Sorry for the wake up call but it is already since a long time and by far the country of fatties!

They have CRJ's and ERJ's but I am not sure of the percentage of the CRJ's. I also noticed that on the ERJ's they have a paint job where the "express" is painted in a really gay blue color.

They will have like 24 CRJ's and 44 ERJ's or somewhere around those numbers.

I though ********************taco were only awarded 44 aircraft per the CPA. I know CAL took 69 from XJET but they didn't want to replace the full 69 slots with RJ but free up some room for the 737's on some growing markets.

I was talking to a RAMP guy at an out station that is currently served by S.hit Taco as an Continental Express flight and this is what he said "They have been flying this route for over a month and I can only count on one hand how many times they were on time".

I presume they're using CAL's or XJT's ground servicing personnel. I understand the initial start-up pains, but after a month, things should begin to smooth out. They worked in Orlando for some time and the ramp/ops similarly complained about them...and Mesa/Freedom...don't get me started!

Yeah I think you are right on that.

Why would you take the word of a Ramper? They have an IQ as high as my shoe size.

because it appeals to his perception of reality. not saying that CHQ hasn't been failing, but you always hear what you want to.

Now that sounded more intelligent than his statement. I agree with you. I'm not saying that CHQ is not doing a great job there, but to take the word of a ground Ramper is very idiotic. That's like me telling him that he sucks as a pilot because a passenger told me so.

I'm sure this being a new program for CHQ, they expect to have these growing pains as with all airlines that start flying out of an unfamiliar place.

I agree but yesterday alone i had 4 legs i flew, at 2 of the stations there were broke down CHQ planes. One was on a 4 hour delay for parts. That was in Indy. This is not a stick in the eye to anyone at CHQ that is just what i saw yesterday.

I did make an hour of overs yesterday because of the delayed plane in INDY. we were groundstopped into EWR but we had to push from the gate and sit because the station needed our gate since the CRJ was at the other one. '

Bottom line, CHQ bit off more than it can chew and it will be a long time before it is fixed. Mid-summer at the earliest. I used to defend CHQ, but now I'll just reserve my efforts to defending the pilots. We are doing everything we possibly can to run a safe and efficient operation with what we are given. As you see, we aren't given much. I can't believe I'm trying to get upgrade to the CRJ knowing what I know about the program and the company's efforts(lack thereof).

Well, unlike some I'm glad that you have enough sense to realize that comments regarding the performance of a competitor are not intended as an insult to the pilot group. I'm sure that you all do the best you can with what you have been given. That is all any of us can do.

Just wondering but what do YOU know about the program? Not very much I assume, there is nothing to defend. You bring A/C out of the desert and yes your gonna have some problems to start with,( like 2 IDG's w/o any oil in them) but jeeeees. Driz, keep your pie hole shut until you upgrade...you must be pretty junior cuz I know the last class had peeps hired 03/05.

Look at the problems we had when the 170 came on line. Now were flying them for Frontier, give it time and you will see more CRJ's flying for CHQ because they save BB so much money in leases.

The program is f'n retarded because of our piece of $hit POI Chambers.

Everybody short of the first two pages of the seniority list at this company is junior. That aside: you attack me for knowing nothing about the problems as well as claiming that there is nothing to defend, then go on to describe problems with said program. I try to keep my finger on the pulse of this entire company as best I can. And that class didn't have 03/05s in it, they were removed. If you paid any attention to our boards you'd know this. But I'll just wait to upgrade, because when that happens my opinion will finally mean something. Just like yours.

Are you also going to try and refute that the training for the CRJ is far behind where it should be? The company jumped in head first and forgot to check if the pool was filled.

With proper planning and staffing we could have been able to dig up a fukcing Convair 990 out of the desert and gotten it up and running(albeit with the FO making 30/hr). The company makes its bed, and we wind up sleeping in it.

You and I can both hope for this, purely speculation on both our parts. Let's hope they staff properly to get it up and running.

Now, this is what I was really talking about before you decided to attack me. Don't be a b!tch next time.

We are doing the best we can to provide CAL with the best service. Superpilot92, does XJT never have any mechanical issues. And half our delays are due to Customer Service and Ramp agents not know how to work our flights.

hey Drizzle and Popeye...if you guys are gonna bitch at eachother and start a civil war...do it somewhere else.....bickering on here doesnt help

Whats the deal with the hardstands in IAH, is it me or do some of the workers do their own thing? I here Xjet had a few issues with the hardstands in IAH. What the prob?

no no, i'd say he pretty much gets it Popeye. What does his seniority have anything to do with it?? The XJT guys see us in IAH as we see Freedom in MCO. We lost an smooth, well respected operation to a company who can't plan ahead to save it's life. What chq handed us with the CRJ is embarrassing and frustrating to watch as even our best efforts seem to come up short with the program we're handed.

Don't blame any pilots except Ho-Jetters. Hopefully we'll get on top of it.

I am a CRJ guy in IAH. I will start by saying that I too am embarrassed by the performance of the program. I used to defend the company for it's mis-management until recently. We have no infrastructure in place in Indy to deal with the increasing size of our operation. Middle mgmnt is absolutely aweful on most fronts (some are very good).

But lets look at the reality of the situation:
1.) every single one of our flights are off the B Hardstand.

2.) The planes have been sitting idle for the past year to year & half (there will be Mtx issues. The first ones have gotten most of the bugs out)

3.) We don't exactly get a lot of help from the ramp. (Yesterday I sat ready to go for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come load the gate checked bags. We were 15 minutes late. Delay went to the ramp.

4.) I could go on for hours, but the biggest thing that people fail to realize is we have something like 9 CRJ departures a day from IAH. If only a few of those go late the performance numbers of course will suck!

There are definately problems with the operation, I won't argue against that. If someone has access to the delays I would love to see how many actually go to the crew. I would be willing to bet not many!
