everybody is going to be screwed. So is Piedmont. We are all just bending over to make the person behind you smile.
 
That giant sucking sound that you hear in Manassas is the sound of all the Colgan pilots leaving the property. What a crock of tripe this has turned out to be...And, a classic example of just how completely and totally the Colgan managment is out of touch with it's pilot group. We are doing them a "favor" taking a S***Y payscale

We at Piedmont adore the hope/hype of dreaming about them, but face it- it is a hunk of crap. Don't sweat it, good luck, and break the fat bastard as often as you can if they want to play.
 
I think it is all great news, as no 70 to 90 seat airframe belongs in a regional airline. The majors should own those, and the pay should be a percentage increase per seat of the industry average.

Stand your ground, and demand the pay we all deserve. I'd be happy enough to see all regionals absorbed into the majors, but if my company asked for a penny off of today's pay scale I would quit the industry.... and I would hope to see a lot of others follow.

If the courts say we as pilots can not strike, I'll show them how a lot of pilots quitting their jobs in the same 2 week period looks suspiciously like the same thing. Put them all on notice, there are fewer candidates today for SCABS than ever before in history.
 
Don't believe what Mikey says....You've been there long enough to know that Mikey's mouth is always moving but not much ever comes out..

No offense to Mikey.. He's a nice guy, but he's a Colgan. Ya know the old joke... How do you tell if a Colgan is lying? His (or her) lips are moving.
 
I guess it's safe to say that the "honeymoon" with Pinnacle is over...Brings to mind an old metaphor; "Beatings will continue until morale improves, ad nauseum".

This was a mess waiting to happen from the day those morons decided to purchase colgan. union/work groups v. management is all that it is.
 
O yeah last time I checked the MEC of 9E does not write the checks so how can he/she have or make any binding resolution for Colgan? What are they going to sue management? HA, that would take years?
 
Peanuckle...you are correct sir, it's been a total goatf**k since they announced this deal, and it is just amazing that they thought we were all so naive to believe that a friggin T-shirt in cheap plastic cup was going to give us a warm and fuzzy "simply the best" kinda feeling.
I am so far beyond disappointed in our managment that I really would rather just stay home vs. flying for these people anymore. Anyone have the number to that truck driving school? I think I might need it.
 
First off Mikey never lied to me while I was working at Colgan. Secondly why would he say that about the Q. He probably doesnt even care if Colgan gets a union anymore.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you guys over at Colgan better get organized otherwise Pinnacle is going to steamroll over you and the Q400 is going to be the least of your worries. I'm not saying they are less than honorable, but each side believes they are being screwed and remember the pilot's axiom "Do unto others before they do unto you." This is going to be an exercise of social Darwinism.
 
This is just sad.....This is the only industry were people act like freshmen in a frat when two companies come togther, or whatever we call it. If this were any other business it would never turn out this way. Do or death.... Come on Fing grow up kids.

First of all, as a member of a future union, I don't want the Q! PAI doesn't want the Q either, but they have to sue for it due to their contract, or they don't have a leg to stand on with their other battles.
2nd, we're not screwed until they start taking away from us what we already have. We dont' have the Q yet so why are we worried about loosing it?

If 9E does not have evil intentions, then why would they care if you were represented? This really shows what thier intentions are.

Rather than just come on here and blow the Colgan's over and over, why don't you let everyone know who you are so they can/will understand your love for them??
