Any UPS guys can share some info on ONT. Will be based there (NOT with UPS). Renting, Crashpads, lifestyle. Any and all info is appreciated.

Thanks

not the cleanest part of socal... rent isn't to bad depending on where your coming from and what you're expecting.. 1 bed start around 550/month but it's worth the extra money to get in the nicer parts away from the airport... Pasadena, LA are not to far for some good entertainment/ bars...no info on crashpads though...

Claremont and Upland are pretty nice (the latter better closer to the mountains). Pretty much, near the mountains it is all pretty good from straight north of the airport westward. Not that expensive, for CA metro areas, relatively.

So would it be safe to say that most UPS ONT crews either live there or commute in? Since ONT is a new base for us, there is not the infrastructure that we have in IAH, EWR & CLE as far as crashpads. Any info you UPS guys can pass on to us would be greatly appreciated. I plan on welcoming a lot of you into my jumpseat, so thanks in advance!

If you don't mind a fairly minimal drive ('bout an hour) look at the Temecula area. South of ONT, reasonably new area. By SOCAL standards prices aren't too bad.

I know of a very nice house coming up for rent in Chino Hills. It's located in a great neighborhood less than 20 minutes from the airport. PM me for details.

I would love to help you but I commute in. The Red Roof Inn by the airport gives UPS pilots rooms for $50 a night....not sure if they would help you guys out but it's worth giving them a call. I think that's what most of our pilots do. I have heard of ONE crashpad (I am sure it's not the only one but they are scarce from what I hear) and it was around $220 a month but I don't know the details....I was just talking about it with one of our guys that was in it when I was jumpseating. If I hear anthing, I will let you know. Good luck.

The crashpad I'm currently in is pretty sweet. Nice pool, workout room, wireless by the pool, puttin green, etc... All this for only 1700 a month!!!!
