Let's hope the ASA MEC and the negotiating committee finally "get real" and sell their pilots down the river today. I'm ready to get this thing over with.

Hmm, let's see if mgmt will pull their heads out when they are making a 13 % profit margin. Hmm, makes sense to me to pony up on the money.

Now ASA has the best profit margin in the entire airline industry. It's time to strike! Even if we get everything we're asking for, our company can afford it, and we still won't have an industry leading contract!

YAWN!!!!! If I look into my crystal ball, I see more of the same.......management shows up unprepared, no counter proposals, asks for a long caucas to discuss what they should have been discussing for the past 2-3 weeks, and the mediator parks the negotiations once again for who knows how long this time......Sound familiar? What a waste of time. Managements games should be criminal.

Management games are criminal. It is the Anti Labor Republicans who won't enforce it. They don't want a strike and company lobbyist have lined the pockets of most politicians.

And because of that, management can stall until we cave in and fall for their lies and settle for a sh!tty contract. And that is exactly what they are waiting for, and they want to use Comair's court decision to help them.

Nothing will happen- this is turning into a "waiting battle" between ASA and Comair........We wait for them, then they wait for us..........

Isnt ALPA quite a lobbyist group itself? I heard they, like everyother big money corporation (like most big businesses) have a hand in politicians pockets.

Hopefully in the next 24-36 hours the ASA pilot group and management can come to some TA, if not it is time for a release and time to utilize the strike vote. Enough is enough.

Yep. Ain't gonna happen. If past history is any indication, manangement will not negotiate, and the mediator will not force them to. I will be surprised if they pass the 15 min of negotiating they did at the last sesion.

If pilots will continue calling out like they did yesterday.......
THINGS WILL GET DONE!

I am very disappointed in those pilots that called in sick this weekend especially since I warned you not to do it. We had massive cancellations as a result. I hope you all have Dr.'s notes. Can't wait to see you in my office.

Actually, our proposals this morning had several improvements and enhancements that will make this a contract our pilots can be proud of. I don't want to get you guys too excited with details until this thing is signed, but I will tell you that we have agreed in principle to begin cleaning the bathrooms. We still do not agree on how often they need to be cleaned. More info to come in my weekly update on ourASA!

SH, now that's GREAT news! Finally someone has listened to the great Beal's words of wisdom and hygiene! I eagerly await the 2+ years of negotiations it will take to get this great step towards ASA's movement into this mid-19th standard.

Thanks for nothing to the punks who called out sick yesterday.... I got extended.

Oh well, as long as some good comes of it.......:smash:

Call the strike center for updates. I called this morning and was told the company moved just enough to keep our negotiators from walking out of the session.
