Do you Sun Country guys take NetJets guys in your jump seat if we are in uniform or is it a dirty rumor? Also do you have a limit to the number of jump seaters you allow per aircraft? Thanks.

I flew a Netjets guy the other month or so, can't remember if he had his uniform on or not. We can take up to 3 Jumpseaters. We are not yet CASS, but it is in the works and will be done soon. I don't think you would have any problems jumpseating on us, but if you do, try and locate the Capt. or F/O and they will take care of you. We just can't take you up front, so if there's a seat in back, you are more than welcome.

You guys rock! I wish I could reciprocate, but I will make it up to you. Donuts before noon and cookies after. I'll see you in Minny.

Sun country......dang I wish I could work there. Is it as good as most say?

First, Captain Dad welcome aboard and welcome to Minny:beer:

Next, Sun Country is a pretty good place to work at, but then again the industry does not set the bar very high. Still we all like it here a lot. Some guys that moved on to NWA, now wish they were back at SCA. It does help your outlook if you live in MSP, but even the commuters seem to like it too.

Captain Dad, do you guys have jumpseat agreements with anyone, or is it a trial and error process?

Officially NJA doesn't have jump agreements. At least not that I have found. There are a couple loose understandings but nothing worth mentioning. We do get to ride on ourselves for repo flights which there are a lot of. If you live in the right area. New York, West Palm or Columbus, to name a few, you may get a one way ride in ultra first class a lot of the time.

Another nice thing is the company will pay for your ride home (or pay equal price for your ticket) at the end of your trip instead of sending you back to your base. So if you want to commute (or have to like me), and can find cheap one way tickets...commuting can be almost enjoyable. No wondering if you are going to make the flight. It is all positive space.

Wave to the jumpers who don't make it on.

Sorry. I commuted for six years and jumping between busy hubs sucked. Needless to say, I won't miss that.
