Nobody wants to fly an airbus for 60-70 an hour as a captain. There are too many other GOOD airlines out there hiring.
Say "Hi" to Dave T for me! Actually, if you want to express my true feelings, you should kick him in the nuts if he has any.
I'm interested.
Another airline whore willing to lower the standard for others.
Don't be such a drill sgt. For low time guys it could be a good way to get PIC time in order to qualify for cream of the crop jobs at Airtran or FedEx.
"Airtran"? Are you kidding me? Value jet? If you would say fex ex, cal, or ups maybe but Value Scabs?
The're not Valuejet anymore. And I do put them up there with Fedex. Most Captains I've talked to while flying or jumpseating on regionals seem to be split on FedEx or Airtran as far who they want to work for.

Dude,
Almost all your posts smack of flame-bait.
Enjoy,
AAflyer
I think my posts are positive. Around here, some folks are negative so as the saying goes negative and positive repel!
As far as Airtran is concerned I'm just paying them a compliment, even if it is worthless from someone like me. Although, the compliment is in line with what folks have told me; they are the number one pick of a lot folks.
Remember that probably 70% of the guys flaming skybus probably already have a resume in there or virgin america , xtra jet, sun country, gemini or some other operator that pays crap yet has
ROFLMAO!!!Doesn't this thread belong in the Regional or Student Pilot section?
ROFLMAO!!!
I work at AirTran.

$70/hour is far too low compensation for the command seat of an airliner (of any size).
I politely told them until they roughly doubled their Captain pay, I wasn't likely to leave AirTran (and probably wouldn't even then for an unknown in terms of job stability - I'm married with kids, can't afford that kind of risk).

What was their response?

They said they'd cut me a "special deal"... they'd double the pay if I volunteered to be in their initial "single pilot" waiver group from the FAA.What was their response?
I'm glad I spent the last five years at AirTran instead of at American, I'll tell you that. . . . . . I've had plenty of American furloughees flying in the right seat with me who have been treated better by "Value Scab", as you call it, than by your airline.
I guess an added bonus is that they got to fly with me instead of sit reserve with you.[
I know, i know Ty value jet is the best and yes you are a captain, that is great. We all have various opinions on the subject as I know many guys who went to value jet in the 90's with 2500 total and no degree. I however always wanted to fly a heavy international, which I will once recalls have occured and I will retire in the top 50 at AA. Good luck to you and your future.
Really? I highly doubt you were getting paid $70 an hour to command that Beech 1900 you have listed in your profile. I'm guessing you made about 1/3 of that. But now that you are flying the big boys you get up on your high horse and tell everyone else that they shouldn't? Hypocrite!
