$19.02 x 75hrs/mo = $1426.50 before taxes.

Any advice before the interview? Thank you all.
Practice looking in the mirror and saying things like, "I want to work at ASA." Try to make that line believable.

I'm practicing "I want to be a Flight Engineer."

Try it, you will be surprised.

Really - ASA is better than it used to be. It may have no future, but, hey at least we don't stay in the Shoney's Inn anymore.

But we are back in the same GPT hotel where Kelly got beat up. Real nice. ASA never learns.

I was just there 2 nights ago. Freakin dump, under the final for runway 14, so planes screaming overhead all night.......FA's both on ground floor on the parking lot side, which is especially nice with people opening and closing car doors, revving engines, talking etc right outside your window while you are trying to rest. They were both fit to be tied, and both were rightfully scared to be in those rooms. I walked them to the desk where they demanded at least rooms on the courtyard side. What are we doing here? ASA needs to pony up more $$$ if that is the issue and get us a better place to stay.

Hope you guys are writing it up. We need a paper trail to get stuff like this fixed.

Equals annual earnings of $17118 (before taxes).

Not a dig at ASA, Mesaba has no horse to ride high on. Just a little shock treatment for anyone thinking about getting into this lousy business.

The sad thing is that it's a raise compared to what most flight instructors are making. Too bad nobody gripes about CFI pay. If CFI's were making the money they deserve then maybe the regionals would have to raise their starting FO pay in order to attract pilots. Simple supply & demand will keep regional pay down like it always has been. This is nothing new.

yea but it is only about 200 yards from the Hooters.....

Make sure you bring your suitcase full of clothes, 'cause if you got a pulse you're hired. Can you start tomorrow?

Why are we staying at a hotel with outside doors? I didn't think we allowed that? Even though the old hotel smelled like wet dog, atleast the doors were inside.

Not to mention on the ground floor with rooms facing the parking lot.
