Lorenzo? Did his free pass travel with Cal run out?

Darwin at work.......at least Atlanta drivers won't have to worry about this one operating a cab.....

Wonder what his ticket cost? TC

Shows that we Americans are uncaring bastards when a foreigner loses his life. It's a shame that someone was so desperate to escape Senegal that they would make such a stupid move, but in the end, it was just a useless foreigner, wasn't it.

You certainly have an extremely low opinion of yourself and other Americans. Perhaps you should move to somewhere they would appreciate your opinions, such as France.

This shows how desperate some people can be in their current situations (living in Senegal), and how lax the security is in Africa. It is sad really. RIP.

General maybe you can sit in on the autopsy and then give us a post by post account of each step and procedure and compare it to the effects of the gearuplocks on human tissue. That should put you well over 9000 posts.

When you hit 10,000 Send me a PM and I will paypal you your one time flight info fee of $10

Probably a Comair guy trying to "get on" with Delta!

Lax security? To put this in perspective... people LIVE in the brush, scrub, tall grass that lines the runways and taxiways. Last time I was there several DOZEN peasants were running, hobbling ACROSS the runway in front of us while on takeoff roll. My concern was not for their welfare but rather whether the nose gear could withstand the impact of a human body at 100+knots. Anyone know, BTW? :D

As opposed to the outpouring of grief around the world when a U.S. citizen is beheaded in some god-forsaken $h!thole.

Yeah, this was some poor schumck who was desperate to get out of disease and poverty-ridden Senegal because those who run the country have stolen all the billions of $'s in foreign aid and put it in their bank accounts in Switzerland, Luxembourg, IOM, Turks and Caicos...take your pick--there are plenty of financial safe-havens for despots around the world that don't ask and don't tell.

The people who run those countries all over the world whose citizens are living in abject poverty--needlessly, should all meet the same fate as Saddam. But they won't because they are part of the club. They only get in trouble if they don't give the right people a piece of the action.

So, yeah, I feel sorry for him--and the hundreds of millions of others who are living in squalor and dying daily of diseases that are easily curable or gradually starving because their rulers stole the money intended to buy food. No one around the world gives a $h!t whether they live or die--not a finger is lifted by the U.N., the EU or even the U.S. to save their miserable butts because the right people are getting a piece of the pie.

Spare us your indignation. TC

Actually it was just ONE of the other 5 BILLION people on this planet... If we had a moment of silence each time someone died, we'd all be mute...

Clever! Nah, when this US/DL stuff ends I will go back to slamming SkyWest and Comair. That should give me 10,000 posts soon.

The body has been identified as Rep. Jim Oberstar from Minnesota.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!! Nooooooooooooooo! Oh my gawd NOooooooooooo! We're doomed now!

In Dakar?

Dakar is actually pretty good! (For Africa anyway)

Try Kinshasa, Lagos, Kigali, Conakry... There you get plenty of running natives.

Yep Dakar... and I agree, I think it's a great layover. If you haven't taken the ferry out to Goree Island (point of embarkation for slaves heading to N. America) it's worth it.

As for that lovely town Kinshasa... :puke:
