Yeah, the announcement is probably branded flying but who knows. In case anybody is marking the day on the calandar, just remember that the announcement was supposed to be in
September. Then
October. Then
November. Then
December. Then
January. Now
February.
So don't hold your breath
Is there any talk of them tossing their name in the hat and bid for other codeshare flying or will they keep all the chicks in one nest?
The latest rumor is:
-15 airplanes to charter (more possibly later; this is a FOR SURE thing);
-10 airplanes to be committed to Delta flying (to be announced somewhere around 1/24 to 2/1 with a base of SLC ...supposedly, a ground school class got told the deal is 99% done, just waiting on a signature from a higher-up on vacation).
-The remainder going to branded flying. Also TBA 1/24-2/1. Base of Ontario, CA and eventually KAUS if it works out.
We are hiring 80 pilots a month, so there's gotta be something going on!

Every rumor I have heard so far comes from a "higher up" and is 99% a done deal. AA, Midex, Frontier, ect.
I forgot to add Aviacsa as well.
"Yep, it 99% a done deal. Infact, XJet is going to be making money on BOTH the leases and training. We are going to be training all their pilots. Yep, good deal for XJet blah blah blah blah blah."
gotta be hiring more than 80 a month since 144 a month are going through the school house. Thats simply new hire's, does not include captains.
Well the aviacsa deal was done, but the pres. of aviacsa, who was essentially putting up his own cash, backed out at the 11th hour.
Who's getting fired? Lets hear the stories!
only heard of 1 getting fired lately and it was a new hire still on probation.

There were aviacsa people at flight safety HOU going through EMB class when I was there in late sept.-early oct.
