I thought this was a joke. the answer to which is a purdue lanyard, a full cup of kool aid, a large sense of entitlement, and travel benefits on all our codeshares.

...

I thought that it was a joke too!

Q: How to find a CHQ pilot.

A: You could put out a RPF and see who the next to the lowest bidder is. They would be right above Mesa!

A: You could put out a bid for cheap flying and see who the next to the lowest bidder is. They would be right above Mesa but not be far.

At least Mesa is ALPA.

Go the closest singles bar, watch and wait for the guy who's pick up line is:

" I am a Pilot. I fly for {insert mainline of your choice here}.

why does everyone dislike the IND guys?
I don't think it was the "IND" in the subject line that they didn't like.

It's not a difficult question or bait for smart answers, I was just looking for someone who's based in IND with CHQ. I think I've got it, thanks for the "help", folks.

It's a bit nostalgic, but it would be nice if we could all just get along and have some respect for everyone who is wearing the uniform. I don't believe in doing things the easy way, I took the road less traveled. If they want to a whore and go down on everyone with a shiny jet, then hey, that's their journey.

Shy

P.S. That last sentence was a joke. Don't take it personally. I honestly think we need to treat everyone else in uniform with respect. How can we expect it from the public/TSA/MGT/media/etc if we don't give it to each other first. Respect.

Indy guys are disliked because they suck. Most of them are Perduebies that were hired with 300hours back in 2002/2003 and upgraded in 18 months. They have been promised a job since they started school and pretty much feel that they are the greatest pilots in the world.

This is an observation of SOME ind pilots. Not all.

To those at TSA, its like your STL based tools.

Oh it's a joke just relax...... man, no one here needs sensitivity training.

Which is probably the most shameful statement yet. Mesa is ALPA.

-Mesa pilots sleep in their planes. (Oh wait, they have slumber parties at the Super 8 now)
-Mesa pilots only get paid scheduled pay therefore operate aircraft for free.
-Mesa pilots wages suck.
-8 days off? Geezus what the f*ck were you guys thinking?
-Mesa pilots have complete disregard for the uniform ie. backpacks, Ipods, spiked frosted hair, thumbrings, f*ggetty purple windbreakers.
-Mesa is led by the biggest scumbag piece of sh*t in the industry. Yes, you Johnny O. You motherf*cker.

Yes shame on Mesa and certainly shame on ALPA for even endorsing that embarrasment called a contract.

You guys better grow some balls next time around.

ALPA wasn't interested in representing us when we were small. I'm sure they'd love to have the dues form 1600+ pilots now, too bad we want them as much
they wanted us a few years back.

It's hard to get new flying when you work for a fair and equitable compensation... Is that why you guys aren't fealing ALPA?

Pilot compensation is only ONE part of the puzzle - don't let your sore ego get in the way of your mouth.

You mean they're all pissed off and bitter and spend the entire 4 days thinking of ways to cost the company more money?

It's bad enough we stereotype based on company, do we have to do it based on domicile too?

And the RIC pilots arnt?

Is this your first job?......EVER?
.....

SXM, my comment about being pissed off and bitter was meant to be somewhat sarcastic, but your comment about the RIC pilots doing the same things as the STL pilots proves my second point on how there's good and bad guys at every base. Thanks. And no, I've had plenty of jobs before my current one.

That's funny. When I was at CHQ, my best FO's more often than not were from Purdue. But S, don't be a hater because you couldn't get into Purdue, just watch and listen to these guys now that they are Captains and you might learn something.

Yeah I've flown with very sharp people from purdue.
You have to have high SATs to get in there, boy.

Pretty sure any Purdue alum hired at CHQ in the first year of classes post-9/11 had been flying night freight and/or turbine equipment and had well in excess of "300 hours".

Not being a school cheerleader, just stating the truth... so forgive me for injecting facts into the discussion. Carry on...
