...the award notice said something like "notices 02-05"...

Looks like it covers 2 or 3 different award notices or something. I tried looking again but... I deleted it already

Finally some good news. Especially for those captains who have been sitting on reserve forever!

Capt. sitting reserve? Try good news for FO's who have had to sit right seat for a bunch of crotchity old bastards for the past several years. Those FO's deserve the upgrade.

I've found most of the old "crotchity" aren't bad to fly with. I've managed to get along quite well with almost all of them so far. I've only flown with one guy, I'll refuse to fly with thus far.

None the less, congrats to the guys upgrading. Hopefully the displaced guys will be put back as well.

Final Awards #06-20 thru #06-25

Where are you seeing this? I see Preliminary Awards 6-20 to 6-25 but nothing under finals on OurASA. I also can't find anything that matches the hire dates goahead mentions in the original post.

You are doing it all wrong. Go to yourasa, click on documents then forms, spit over your right shoulder, quadriple click "crew resources", then crewmembers, click your heels together 3 times, then click on awards. Put your left foot in, take your left foot out, click on rosters, and then final award. Then open a new browser window and paste this link:
http://ourasa.com/MyMessages/7012628/06-20-21-22-23-24-25 Final Awards.pdf
Just go on ourasa and look at your mail.

OK, the link SIU posted works. It isn't listed when I look under rosters and final awards.

We're not at all fat on 50 seat captains. I can't understand why there's a need for so many new ones. However, Congrats to all.

the summer schedules are coming + anticipated new A/C & flying + a few retirements + attrition = look for even more new upgrades soon.

Attrition continues at a paint-blistering rate.

ASA sucks, and finally pilots are voting with their feet.

10% of the pilots quit within the past 6 months.....that is serious.

They can't even hire 500 hr guys with hard-ons for shiny jets.

The upgrades are a last-ditch effort by management to save a sinking ship....a glimmer of hope to plug the dike.

We'll see if it helps....

Another prelim is just now out:

10 CR7 CA
10 CR2 CA
2 ATR CA

Effective date is 5/1, and all aircraft are very junior on the prelim. This can't all be for attrition and summer schedules. Something is up.

At least they can't have Captains flying in the right seat anymore since Cat II (unless you're an IP). I did see that some IPs are bidding FO lines; I assume for the schedule. Must be nice to be paid Captain pay to fly in the right seat and get to bid on FO schedules.

actually, the pilots that are leaving are VERY junior. I'm top 3rd of the list and in the last year I've moved less than 100 numbers (far less) and only 35 in the last 6 months.

The VAST majority of pilots leaving are "chasing" a quick upgrade at some other regional because they don't have much time invested at ASA...and we all know that if you go somewhere because of the "quick" upgrade, you've almost assuredly missed it already.

One of the truest statements ever spoken. Until it becomes obvious that your current employer is rapidly heading out of business, making a lateral move for an upgrade almost always pans out to be a bad decision in the long run.
