Who got the the call today, Dec. 22, letting you know that you will work a normal day, Dec. 23? What BS. I think I am feeling sick, again!

Anyone who thinks they are going to work a normal day on the last day (non-Sunday) before Christmas, shouldn't be in this business.
After 2 hard weeks of work, and weather, being expected to work 7 days a week and Xmas eve is rough. Most pilots are assuming no OT for the extra effort. At 2X or 3X pay there may even be volunteers for this unwelcome task.

How did you not expect to work the Saturday before Xmas.
First holiday season at AMF.
I have 4 days off this week and another 4 days off next week. I like it here.

If you read the original post, you will understand the whine. Did not say I was pissed at working the holiday. It was the fact that I was told the day before. No notice.
PS Buff. You seem to be a good source of info on other post's. Please don't fall into the FI negative spin.
And NO, this is not my first peak with AMF, nore first job out of instruction.
Late.
I have heard some bases have it better than others, but a 3 day work week, I want to work at your base.
This thread has been going no where. I worked along with my brothers. Several people were told 10-15 hours before. Yet Dispatch knew we would work a normal day for two weeks. (yes typical amf anticks). When I see the schedule printed, I make personal plans. That was all. If things change, So should the modivation to work $$$$$$$$$$.
Nice pic. Looks like PDX
