What was the hiring process like?
How is the company? Same as other regionals or slightly different??
Payscale and benefits same or differ slightly??

VW - united express is the name used by the joint feeder operation to united. There are many united express airlines; chautauqua, skywest, mesa, to name a few. Whichever one you're really after information about, do a search for that airline on these forums and you'll probably find everything you could possibly want to know about them. Also check out airlinepilotcentral.com and check out their pay scales and other tidbits about life there.

Good luck, I heard it was tough to get on with united express. I think you need a COM AMES to get on there.

What does it mean when it says "GoJets" on the side of the plane? Is that a faster model, or better pilots or something?

it means they are the best pilots. they get to cut in front of everyone else in line and fly the best planes, usually the explus ones!

I'll give it a shot:

1. I squirmed in my seat, had sweaty palms, didn't make eye contact with the hot HR chick, still got an offer.
2. Company ranges from shoddy to sucky, compared to other regionals I'd say slightly different to moderate chop, with a mix of SJS.
3. Payscale is over/under scale, Benefits didn't benefit me too much.
4. Basically, I'd say different from other regionals, yet scarily similar.

Hurry up and put in your resume, they are hiring into a pool of pilots to be offered furlough.
And PLEASE let us know how your United Express interview goes.

That was a special airline set up for people who pay for a cheap aviation experience. It is much like a dude ranch, only with airplanes. Oh, they also have a contract with the Missouri Department of Corrections to provide employment to semi-rehabilitated convicts. Sort of an exit-probation program.

Oh, I forgot to also mention that a recent press release stated that they are currently seaking ex-cons who were engaged in the sex trade while in prison. Apparently they are in need of those able and willing to take it up the @ss.
