Delta is now collecting apps (at Airlineapps.com) and might interview in January....From the Atlanta Chief Pilot in a lounge visit....FWIW
Sounds like Plato Rhyne is going to cash in again with Airline Apps. Still have to pay to apply! How much $$ did people pay to update and renew their UPAS app on line every year! It's a shameful act for airlines to continue to charge pilots just to apply.
And leave a few of those apps in the LGA Pilots Lounge while your at it!
I'm sure we'll be as welcome as the Eastern pilots were. Riiiiiight.
Nice.....
Hopefully your kind won't be welcome when the apps pour in.....
Then again, being your F/O would make me want to leave too.....
Everyone else, good luck!!
Don't worry, apps with Comair on them will see extra scrutiny....."but it's not us, it was management!!".....sound familiar?? Good luck to everybody but Comair...
Oh baloney. To suggest that Delta management actually takes advice from Delta pilots about anything is contradicted by practically every management - pilot interaction of the last few years.
I've got news for you, Lumberg: those pilot interviewers you think you have in your pocket are all management and don't much care what you think.
Give it a rest. Delta's hired plenty of Comair pilots, many more than they hired Eastern pilots, I would say.
Agreed, Comair pilots will face some intense scrutiny when it comes to selection for jobs at Delta. All you can do is sumbit the app and see what happens.
Wrong. I have spoken with Delta pilots who will be involved in the selection process. From my understanding, they have good memories.
Will it come up in the interview? Who knows...but I wouldn't bet against it.

Do you seriously believe management cares one whit about an internal union dispute? They will hire the most qualified applicants who conform to their profile. They could not care less if that applicant comes from Comair.
N22,
We all enjoy your desperate attempt at rewriting history. Just remember, the ASA MEC extended their hand to fellow pilots who were out of work...
How long have you been in this business? If you think pilots aren't involved in the selection process at every airline you are sadly misinformed.
That's not what I said. Those pilots involved in the selection process are management. They're doing management's bidding. If you don't believe that, you are sadly misinformed.
Why would a management pilot feel any differently about hiring than the rank and file?
