Feb SWA Class Dates

Anybody had a call for a Feb class date yet? I was in the November DB. The People Dept told me I would probably start class in Feb. Just curious to see if anyone from the November DB has a class date yet.

I think the last class they have been calling for is Jan 3. Rumour is that there will be a Jan 10 and a Jan 17th as well. It seems that they don't make calls for class dates until it's a month or less away. Good luck.

Class dates from the training center:

27 Dec

3 Jan
10 Jan
17 Jan
24 Jan
31 Jan

It may be awhile to hear about a Feb class date, since they are still filling 5 Jan classes. Hang in there, it will happen. Latest class to start had 24 folks.

Lets hope those from the Nov DB are in those classes. This wait hurts.

Both Dec. classes will have 24. Which makes about 625 for the year. Heard between 550-700 next year depending on "finding" more -700s.

Classes are scheduled by interview date.

I guess I will be at the back of the line in my DB. I just hope a lot if the people did not have their type. 92 is a lot of people to go through.

I'm pretty sure it's DOH, unless you have no type, then you don't get in line until the type is completed. I had no type when hired, and then lost quite a bit of seniority while I scheduled and completed the type. Of course that was over three years ago when the classes were stagnant and the pool was over 300 deep (not sure, but it was deep)... I think I was nearly last on that list!

Your DOH is the first day of ground school. Classes are assigned by when you interviewed. If you interviewed say on the 8th, they would be assigned a class sooner then someone say that interviewed at the end of the same month provided they both had the type and the background check is complete.

If you don't have the type, you would be placed ahead of others that are in the pool after completing your type that are still in the pool.

Keep in mind that your not officially hired until you start ground school. When they say your continuing the process, this means that they will start the background check, pee test and other things. Once that is all complete, you are then assigned a class date.

328 nailed it. Factor in a few of mil folks coming available, that may have interviewed up to a year out, & there you have it.

Get your type as soon as possible, if you didn't have it prior to the interview. It will matter. The only guy that doesn't have a class date, from my interview group, didn't have his type.

Your right.... in my best Gump voice "I'm not a smart man...." Although I did not have a type when I interviewed, and believe I was not placed in the pool at all until it was completed (eg did not jump ahead of anyone already in the pool). Maybe that has changed, I'm just glad to be here!
