Has the TSA allowed pilots in uniform to go directly to the gate with just your I.D. card?

Need to quickly go through TPA on 12/24 (about 45 minutes to catch last flight). Thanks.

Everywhere but MEM will let you do that. In MEM, there is no cutting the line in the crew line unless your carrier is on that wing. I think that is a load of crap but like the man said - each airport - one level of safety...LOL

TPA is not a problem

I have run from the SWA side of the house to USAIR....TSA is not a problem in Tampa

You're not getting past the i.d. checkers in JFK at Delta's terminal 2/3 without a jumpseat pass. It's not the TSA either. I've talked to them and if we can get past the i.d. checker TSA will let us through. The i.d. checkers insist it's DAL making the decisions. They've been instructed by DAL to not let jumpseaters through without a jumpseat pass. The problem is the line to get the pass is frequently over an hour long. It's a real pain in the ass and no amount of e-mail to appropriate authorities has made one bit of difference.

Thanks. Good news about TPA, will let you know if it changes. Also, last couple times I've gone from MEM, haven't had to get a pass. ID works just fine.
