Speedtape-

Look here Braveheart, it is a gesture of goodwill to the whole employee group! It wasn't just for the pilot group to buy us off for four years of dallying. Sheesh! Enjoy your free turkey; otherwise, give it to a low-paid gate agent - they will appreciate it.

Leave it to flightinfo for people to get in a pi$$ing match because they got a free turkey.... Jeeebus....

No kidding.

Reminds me of the old joke about the MEC Chairman telling the pilots, "I've got great news. We have TA'ed a new contract. Among the things we've agreed to: a limo will pick you up at your house before your duty in. You will be fed surf and turf at every overnight, and our work rules and pay will be at the top of the industry. Best of all, from now on all of you will only have to work on Tuesday."

A lone hand goes up in the back of the room.... A pilot with a question....

"Yes?", says the MEC Chairman.....

Says the pilot.....

"You mean to tell me, after all your work, we still have to work every frickin' Tuesday?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"

There's plenty of worthwhile things to bitch about in this industry. I find very little to complain about when it comes to free food.

I think they did it thinking all the senior rednecks would burn themselves while frying it, taking personal leave, and therefore reducing cost and making us more competitive.

Oh God, I just spit coffee all over my keyboard!

I wonder how much the cash bonus will be at Republic/Chautauqua this year. It's usually in the mid to upper three figures.

Enjoy the turkey, ASA folks.

You folks definitely have symptoms of Stockholm Syndrome. All the gratitude for something you can get for free with a $25 grocery purchase at your local grocery store is a sure symptom. "Have you Forgotten?", it's been 4 years without a fair contract! Like the message in the old "Wendy's" commercial said a few years ago, "Where's the Beef?" Color me ungrateful! My wages and buying power have diminished by 10-12% over that period of time. Our loss is their gain! Do you really think Brian and Jerry will be eating turkey with all that money saved?

So redeem it and donate it to the Red Cross or local food bank. I'm sure there's people that need it worse than you do anyway.
