Isn't that interesting. Hoping to nip a problem in the bud.

I guess he figures he can now afford it with the ooodles of cash they will have from a merger. I think DL pilots are still higher paid than both, are they not? Either way, a combined pilot group would have lots of leverage with the profits the new company would generate.

I also see the gov't has approved the PBGF for the DL pilots. It's amazing how quickly things are moving along. Sure looks like the Feds are doing what they can to expedite things.

:pimp:

Just wondering if Doug Parker knows a little more about this potential merge??? Or was the 600+ U/AWA pilot picketing a couple of weeks ago had some leverage?

Kind of curious if the U/DAL merge does not go through will DP go back to "cost neutral"? Could get very interested.

Just more posturing from a CEO during contract negotiations. We aren't going to allow a concessionary contract so DP's revelation is a forgone conclusion.

Doug already told WallStreet that he was paying the HIGHEST of the three wages once the merger was completed. Hopefully we won't be dumb/weak enough to agree to maintain bankruptcy wages when the company is making half a billion dollars every six months. It is time that the AWA pilots get some backbone.
