no training contract and very little chance of getting CLE maybe with a base trade after training but CLE is dieing a slow death.

There is alot of new hires still going to CLE. Just talked to a new guy finishing IOE based in CLE.

I thought about that after I posted....but to give you an idea what life is like, I jumpseated with a CPT on 7th year pay from CLE that is on reserve. I think there are 81 lines in CLE for JAN vs 521 in IAH.

the reason a new hire would be in CLE is because a lot of people are going to IAH or EWR and they need to be replaced. no growth in CLE.. reserve for a loonnnngggg time ...

Basing in CLE is only temporary, and 99% become perm bidded out to EWR or IAH. I did the same thing right out of training.

I believe it is because the IOE CA's are readily available in CLE so all the fresh meat goes there for a month or two despite it being our third choice. You can't hold a line there (ever), and the place is dead.

You have got to be kidding me, are you sure you work for us?

?? half of everyone does OE out of base, it doesnt have anything to do with what base you get assigned. I did my OE in IAH and then sat reserve in CLE, in fact i didnt even fly through cle while on OE.

a hard line in CLE for FO's is running around 1.5 yrs or so last time i looked.

I thinka bunch of CLE came here. I was a shoe in for a relief...hence that has changed now.
Got weekends off though.
