I read on the ALPA National site that Expressjet has agreeed to an extension of their contract with pay increases?? Wow. Has pattern bargaining finally turned the corner for the better. Any details on hourly % increases, etc.

We agreed to keep the pay increases going at the previous rate as well as increase our per diem. It is not a giant leap forward, but when everyone around you is going backwards, it seems like a giant stride.

Approx 6% per year including longevity and pay raise, however the main positive is that an excellent contract (by regional standards) is extended as well as significant improvements for reserves.

The other element is the introduction to the contract of charter flying which is based on ( and a little better than) NetJets pay scales, home basing etc.

Can you post the charter portion- pay scales/ basing/ etc- since that info is not on APC yet? Will they retrofit any of the airplanes they do charter with to change the interior seating configurations and/ or add more soundproofing?

I thought that the XM was going into ALL XRs. Not really hard fact...just like everything else these days.

Ever tried listening to headphones in seat 1A @ 320 Knots in an ERJ? You can't hear a thing unless you crank it to max volume and blow out your eardrums. At least we will be boosting hearing aid companies' sales.

Are they going to still be 50 seats packed in there on the charter aircraft? I hope they make the airplanes more like the Legacy versions than the airline version. The homebasing will be very nice for those senior enough to get the positions. I'm glad you guys are finding something to do with the airplanes rather than just give them up to cheaper replacements. Good luck guys.

Expressjet folks, thanks for standing strong and keeping your pay and QOL where it should be. I'm not sure if it helps us (ASA) at the table but it's nice to think it does. When the majority of others are taking in in the shorts its great to see you all doing the right thing.

ExpressJet Charter is not going to be any where close to what NetJets pay scale is. Just look at airlinepilotcentral.com

Those scales that are posted on here are for the 121 side. Add 18 dollars an hour to those figures for the charter pay.

bottom FO pay is 41.15 top is 61.94 thats using 2007 figures.

bottom Capt is 72.53 top is 120.76 using 2007 figures.

times that by 90 hour Gur. you do the math. Not bad

I think the charter pay is comparable to the Hawker/Citation 650/680/750/DA2000/G200 pay at Netjets, but probably still not quite as good.

8 year DA2000 capt at Netjets = $99,600
8 year EMB charter capt. at ExpressJet = 92/hr based on 90/hr month gurantee = $99,360 a year.

So I'd say that's comparble....really we should be thanking NetJets Teamsters for giving us a bar to shoot for.

I already know that, but is still not close to what you can make at NetJets, Period.

really,

i just looked at and i disagree. fist year pay at netjets shows 39k-82k from smallest to largest aircraft as an fo.

capt- is alot more if you get on the bigger planes but the majority of the planes rate compare very close.

Agreed!

You guys are way off. You can add about 10,000 a year to NetJets base salary. I you start day 1 before 8am extra days pay, If day1 is more than a 10 hour duty day, extra days pay, if any of the rest of your 6 days is for than a 12 hour duty day extra days pay, If you work on any holiday extra days pay. Medical, dental, and vision is all free. 401k is the 50% match. A 7 yr CA at NetJets on lower class plane makes around 130,000 a yr.

Need a ruler?

Wish we could get a contract extension over here at Comair versus the crap we're going through now, but I guess that wouldn't yield a big enough bonus for our management. Slimy bastards.

i make 18,000 a year flying the ERJ. it's fantastic and exciting to figure out how to pay my bills each month. wouldn't trade if for anything. just thought i'd chime that in.

...hahha...90 seats....
and serisouly...my point was that I REALLY WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING!! ...just in case anyone missread my post as a complaint it WAS NOT!! point here is sometimes - money isn't everything. i enjoy this job and actually make more then that but first year pay always makes more of a point. who wouldn't love a job paying 150K.
