Well XJT is not in the same league as any of those other companies you listed
How do you figure that? They are all regionals, they all fly regional jets, they all treat you like crap.Well XJT is not in the same league as any of those other companies you listed
Well XJT is not in the same league as any of those other companies you listed, but right now reserve in IAH and EWR is running around 4-5 months while CLE is running around 4-5 years, some guys in CLE are upgrading while still on reserve as an FO only to go back to reserve CA. Junior captain is going at 24 months and has been staying like that for about 6 months and should stay like that for around 3 or 4 more years.
How is thisIt is too bad you think that. I am actually very happy with XJT and feel they treat us fairly well. I enjoy better than average work rules and pay. I enjoy good benefits and the best retirement in our part of the industry. The problem is not XJT pilots being overly happy with their company, it is others not giving a crap that their company treats them bad because it is just a stepping stone. Do something about it.

You gotta be kidding me.
Thanks for all the answers.

i have about 1000 total but very little multi.
I was thinking tsa or cargo, then lateral move to a better regional.

For starters...Pinnacle requires at least 3500 total (3000 if 500 is in company) and 2000 multi to upgrde, plus 1000 turbine. If your times are right as you have posted, then you would sit in the right seat for at least 2 years, if you could fly 1000 a year, which you will not. You may get 900 or so! Reserve is anywhere up to 6 months, depending where you get based ( MSP, MEM, DTW[more than likely]).

2 years. Colgan
Little reserve, unless your Capt is an IOE instructor. I have a blast!
No offense..but Capt at Colgan makes what...28.00 Tops? I'm not bashing..I am asking because I have looked into it to try and get AOO or JST. That is what keeps me back. Where I am at now, I make 24 2nd year..and Capt will be over 50 an hour. THe big difference between an RJ and a 1900 or 340.

Maybe a dumb question but how do you get your base.
If you are willing to move, do you get more choices or it’s just random?
