Skywest Interviews

I got an interview with Skywest coming up this month. I was looking for a gouge but couldn't really find anything current. Any suggestions would help.

But SkyWest doesn't like info put up there. I don't know what the heck Skywest puts in the coffee out there but even the guys that don't get hired, they don't even put much up. Scary, huh?

I have two freinds that interviewed in the last month. Neither hired. From what they told me, the interview was more thourough than my NWA, Net Jets, or Alaska interview.

Know ALL the symbols on the Jepps. Know the AIM, FAR's for the operation you fly, know your systems of the most advanced a/c that you've flown, know the history and current expansion/news of SkyW, know the stock price to the minute and the volume being traded, know the names of the major players in mngt, know how many a/c they have and how many are on order, be able to fly the piss out of the sim and give one heck of a great pre-takeoff brief. Have your CRM down to the core, be friendly and easy to get along with as well as being likeable. Let them know that you don't want to work anywhere else and ask for the job at the end of the interview. Know the ATP test book for he written. Be able to explain different weather situations. Let's see.......can't think of anything else - anyone else care to add?

The upside to doing all the above - getting a great job and beginning a good career should you choose to stay there.

yeah... they sent me an email with a list of days all through out november. I am not sure which one I am going to take yet... probably the second week of november.

Sweet. I got the offer last week and I actuall took tomorrow for my interview date. Last week they called and cancelled my interview. they said they are cancelling interviews for the next two weeks atleast and will call me when they resume interviewing in SLC. When did they offer you the dates? Let me know if they give you a date. I am bummed that mine got postponed. Thanks.

They said the interviewers had issues for the next couple weeks.

when i interviewed I selected a date that was 2 weeks away. I spent about 3-4 hours a day on the AIM/ATP and current systems and stuff. I might of over did it a little bit, but nailed the hard questions and whatnot. It feels a lot better to be overprepared, than a little under.
