Does Republic/Chautauqua pay you during inital training? Do you get your own hotel room? Per diem while in training?

Pay During Training...chq

Yes they pay you per diem in training, $125 a week first four weeks, after that min guarantee. Hotel is paid for while in training, all of training, they really set you up! They are hiring like crazy, just remember to make sure your on point because just cuz they need people doesn't mean they hire anyone.

I would hardly call $500 for the first month and a double occupancy hotel "really set (you) up!". Wow.

$125 a week sucks...I did it. But I had two pay checks from my CFI job that came during that month, so that took the edge off of it. I also had a microwave and small fridge/freezer during my 6 weeks of training. That saves a ton right there by not eating out every day.

You can get a huge tax return the next year if you deduct the difference between the $17.86 and what the IRS allows in the different cities.

As a side note who pays what during training? And provides what during training?

AWAC, Full pay from the day before class at 75/hr guarantee....single occ hotel room throughout

Truly misguided folks out there. 125 a week? Sad, truly sad.

Misguided may be a bit too strong. Maybe double occ isn't a deal breaker for some, it wasn't a deal breaker for me. People choose different airlines for different reasons. RAH even after all I know now would still be my #1 choice, they are the only regional that can offer me the QOL I want for both the short and long term.

SKW double occupancy, and paid guarantee at 60, 65, or 75 hours depending on the phase of training.

Also they give you space positive tickets to/from home on weekends and between training events.

PDT pays full gaurantee from day one, also pay $1.45 an hour per diem for 12 hours a day during training. Also, single occupancy hotel rooms during initial training.

Is There No Bottom To This Race In Sight?

INCREDIBLE......YOU THINK THIS IS GOOD? JUST WHAT WE ALL WANT TO DO..SIT IN OUR DOUBLE OCCUPANCY HOTEL ROOMS AND EAT RAMEN NOODLES WITH SOME GUY YOU HAVE NEVER MET FOR SIX WEEKS. THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THE FUTURE OF THE PROFESSION WITH GUYS TAKING THESE JOBS AND THINKING THIS IS GOOD. FURTHERMORE THE PILOT GROUP ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN TO ITS OWN NEW HIRES IS EVEN MORE AT FAULT.

INCREDIBLE......YOU THINK THIS IS GOOD?
Uhhhh...what? Where did I say that? I didn't say that...I think that you will find that I specifically said "$125 a week sucks...I did it."

SIT IN OUR DOUBLE OCCUPANCY HOTEL ROOMS AND EAT RAMEN NOODLES WITH SOME GUY YOU HAVE NEVER MET
Yeah....because you never sit with someone once you're online!
Plus you never eat ramen noodles with someone you have never met!

You are a K-Fed!

During week two, we give you a $1500.00 per diem check and pay doesn't start until completion of F/O PC.

Colgan gives you 50 bucks a day while in class/sim plus a double room. Usually in class 6 days a week. Somehow I would expect more from a E170 outfit. <G>

How I wish I never get forced into a jet regional - those companies make me sick.
