Was is the Express "manager" or a Mainline Agent?

Not nice...

You can't just leave that hanging out there with no explaination... Spill it!

Yeah, WTFO? You can't post stuff like that on here and not elaborate...Not cool!

Hmmm.

When you use the words, "PDT, Chief Pilot, and BOS," I have an idea of who is involved... and it ain't our CP's son.

Just going by what was said.

I'm standing at 9b in BOS the other night shooting the breeze with another one of our guys when an express gate agent comes through the door spitting vinegar about a pilot. Next thing the pilot comes in and the gate agent proceeds to dress him down about his attitude. Went something like this.......

"I'm sick of your attitude towards the gate agents here, every time you commute you're a pain in the butt. I know you have to get to SYR but there is a way to nonrev. We also have a person on a buddy pass who is sitting quietly waiting to be called. But you charge out to the airplane and run up the stairs when we are deplaning passengers and get in the way so you can talk to the crew. I'm sick of it and it's going to stop."

Some of this is paraphrased but the gist is correct. It should be noted that the little biatch just stood there shellshocked while this was going on, not a word out of his mouth. He skulked off to the corner near the door to ops looking like, as my F/O put it, "someone shot his dog." The little whiner will probably run to daddy to try to get the agent fired.

ya buddy

... if JB's still chief pilot, he doesn't have any kids if I remember correctly.

Yeah, but those gate agents are all underpaid jacka$$es who could easily switch to a Taco Bell cash register job. Sounds like he was tired and he wanted to go home. He didn't have the leverage, she did. So, he took his medicine knowing that he couldn't respond the way he wanted. I doubt you would have lashed out at her arrogance ("power trip") knowing that she was your ticket home. This story happens every day.......

Listening to the drone of those Dash engines for hours and hours every day as it levitates along - I'd be super tired too. Give him a break...

Can't comment without being there, but generally speaking...

Being tired is no excuse to treat the gate help like garbage, as tempting as it may be when they are acting like the kings of thier own little worlds... In a way, they are.

You get more flies with sugar than you do with vinegar... A kind word, a smile and an unexpected cup of coffee go along way toward making your commute doable, in my experience anyway.

Piedmont interview

I've got an interview scheduled with Piedmont soon. Can anybody give me the good and the bad about what's going on there right now. What are upgrade times looking like. Thanks for time.

Erroneous on all accounts!

The story goes as is: Last flight of the night to base early show in AM, Flight is booked to max load, 1 non rev besides myself (american mainline FA), i knew the captain, went out to plane let them know i was tryin to make the flight and to ask them to do what they could so i could make it. Mistakenly got on the plane before the last passenger was off, who was takin their sweet ass time. Agent lost it inside the plane. I felt bad so i went in to let him (who could be confused with a her named lance or trevor) know that i was sorry that i got on the plane before the last passenger was off and that i didn't mean to do so. Agent lost it infront of everyone in the boarding area. Instead of makin a ********************ty situation worse with some psycho in my face tryin to win a pissing contest i walked away. Now tell me Mr. Wu what would you have done. I suggest you becareful before opening your fat face next time other then when your fillin it with something. All you saw was the end and that the agent thought i was the PDT Cheif pilots son. Also not true. Damn man you are like a little girl in high school throwing this stuff on here. Wow!!

and this was not a high school style response at all.......

Yeah mr wu. Pretty childish to bring this sort of smack up on a msg board. We all know what some gate agents can be like.

What are upgrades? Do we have those at PDT?

Sounds like a typical gate hag on a power trip.

If you got credentials, and the captain waves you on to his airplane, the gate agent has nothing to say about it. So what if the last pax was still on? You weren't obstructing anyone.

I think jellybean (sorry) handled it as professionally as he could. And I hope he wrote a seething report of how the gate agent lost it in front of the passengers and acted as unprofessionally as he accused the pilot of being.

I'm with jellynuts. How many of us have had a gate agent not care if we make the flight or not, and not check to see if they could squeeze non revs on? We check in and are immediately told that we will not make it, when there is a fighting chance that we will. He was trying his best to let the crew know he was there and wanted on, since the agent obviously didn't care. I want to get guys like him on our airplane if I can help it. I would not extend that kind of concern to a guy like Mr. Wu. That was a b!tch move to post that on here, dude.

Mr Wu rules! I hate all of them in BOS they all suck. They are so mean to everyone. They are just total a holes to passengers on a daily basis. I hope they all fall down and set of airstairs.

You know they Positive Space the rampers to work in PHL, Maybe they should cut the pilots a break as well. Give us a positive space ticket from the city we live in to the city we work out of. Just those two points on the map.

On the other note: If they can pay the PHL rampers $50/day per diem plus $25 for showing up to work then they can pay us Per Diem that actually covers the cost of airport food!
