Ok. I'll ask. Where were the other 1700 ASA pilots? Twenty pilots? Thats pretty weak.

A bunch of the leadership who were going to be in Vegas anyway, put on a dog and pony show and you call it a victory?

Wasn't this picketing launched from the ALPA board of directors meeting in LAS? You know the UNION REP CONVENTION? How many union reps do we have? 4? 6? Seems to me like a bunch of ASA pilots flew all the way to Vegas, then rode a long bus trip to just picket. 20 'aint too bad considering. And explain why pilots from every other pilot group in ALPA came out to support us if ALPA is going to "throw us under the bus"? I say it was a strong message of ASA support. I agree with Farruzi, who cares how many ASA pilots made the trip, even if it was just 20, the point was made. We have the support of the entire union.

Wow, we have the support of the entire union. What good is that when the entire union is losing battles. Mesaba, CMR, ASA, Pinnacle, I don't see alot of ALPA victories right now.

Wow, you can just spin anything against our hard working local volunteers, can't you?

My understanding is that our MEC organized the event, rented the busses from Vegas, and INVITED the other groups as a show of solidarity. It was meant to be a message to Jerry that's he's fighting a NATIONAL UNION not just a disorganized group of commuter pilots.

As for ASA being thrown under the bus, why don't you talk to your buddies at Mesaba or Comair management? We could be a lot worse off over here.

And Jerry keeps transferring airplanes while ALPA types walk in circles in SGU - Great! Your right that things are worse at Mesaba and CMR and some of us don't want to go down that road.

Mesaba? Bankruptcy
Comair? Bankruptcy
Delta? Bankruptcy
NWA? Bankruptcy
United? Bankruptcy

Considering that the bankruptcy court could have imposed terms of its chosing, I'd say ALPA did ok considering the circumstances. Mesaba and Comair are yet to be decided, and it 'aint over yet.

ASA? How have we lost? it 'aint over yet, dummy!

As I said elsewhere, you are nothing but a terrorist who won't even take credit for his attacks. Since you've demonstrated you have access to our union web board, you should grow some balls and openly debate your fellow pilots instead of insurgent sniping, while hiding behind an anonymous bulletin board. Until then, you have no credibility. Take ownership or be gone.

My point was this is being driven more by ALPA than by the ASA pilots. ALPA is going to throw the ASA pilots under the bus.

 You continue to show what a D!CK you really are...I'm sure that WHEN we get the new contract, you will be right there "Enjoying" the fruits of our hard working ALPA bro's and sis's! Nice Job!!!

YOU still here whining about ALPA sissy boy? Why don't YOU get involved with ALPA and get something done? Nah, you're too busy attacking ALPA and whining about your potential job loss. So what. Go apply elsewhere. SKYW is hiring. They like whiners over there too. It's obvious you know nothing of the RLA that negotiations fall under and control what ALPA can and cannot do. The RLA greatly favors management too dickhead. Get a clue you whining ass.

VOTED IN FAVOR!

SSDD, the fact that all of the other MEC officers got on the buses and took time out of their schedules is HUGE. They are showing a united front and with this new ALPA President, things are really going to start to change! The fact that only 20 guys got there is fine...flights are full, I commute, I should know. Especially to Vegas! You will see, things are going to get better!

Driver, only two airplanes have been transferred and lets face it...how long does it really take to scrape off the nose art and put ours back on? Keep your panties on...things will work themselves out, although I know you would rather stir up the crap and see just how much deception you can create.

Yeah, the whiner doesn't give up though. She'll be back on here whining about plane transfers, ALPA, her job loss, her upgrade, her paying ALPA dues (doubtful), and more blah blah blah crap outa her mouth. She's a management weenie too!

Another eloquent post from the ALPA cheerleading section. Really instills confidence in ALPA with posts like this.

Fine, show me. Get off Flightinfo, get the contract done, and get our airplanes back. I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, it just sounds like more of the same BS.

Like you don't spout the same BS drivel. If you want the planes back, you'll have to convince JA. ALPA doesn't assign airplanes, management does. And you should know that as you lean towards management so much, if you really aren't a mgt weenie yourself!

You guys beat up on each other, but other than name calling there isn't much substance. You're so easy its not even funny.

Of course the other MEC officers were going. They are committed. Why was it scheduled on that day? Because they were in Vegas anyway. Taking the 1:45 minute bus ride was no big deal.

The fact that only 20 ASA guys showed up also says tons. Every single ASA pilot who was not working should have been there. You should have flown, driven, swam the Virgen river, parachuted in...anything.

Other than a few of you, who are on this board daily, I don't see much committment.

Good luck

Most of the 20 were MEC people that were already in LAS. I have done 3 informational picketing sessions and I voted YES on the strike. However I and others are losing patience with ALPA and don't feel like we are getting the whole story. Even if I had been in Vegas, I would of stayed at the Blackjack table - better odds than this picketing amounting to anything.

I think you miss the signifigance of multiple pilots groups leadership, A carriers and B Carriers alike, coming together to show unity and resolve.
.

The only significance this had was that they were already in LAS. If the people at the Frontier were still on strike, they probably would have walked their pickets instead. The only thing I saw was a bunch of fat, middle-aged guys huffing and puffing trying to get up the sidewalk.

Too bad they didnt come out here in July or August to do their picketting. That would have been real fun to watch! And why would Jerry have to "cross" the street to talk to them, did they mistake the Hospital for the FltOps Building? HAHA. I at least hope they enjoyed the scenery on their drive from and to Vegas.
