Piper Seneca Qustions/Electrical??

Can someone tell me which items in the Seneca are AC Driven, and which items are DC Driven??

The Seneca II is an all-DC aircraft just like the Seminole. The alternators recharge the 12VDC battery which supplies all the juice to the busses, motors, heaters, etc.

There are no inverters, transformer-rectifiers, etc.

I have yet to run across a piston twin that has any AC systems. I guess if you are talking about a new one a few of the glass CRT's may be AC but that would be it.

Unless you have inverters installed..you gots no AC!!

Newer light piston twins don't generally have inverters. Older radial powered twins and multi engine airplanes use rotary inverters.

The Seneca is a DC airplane.
