Hearing that there are two 700s parked because there are not enough crews to man them. Resignations are ever increasing, some days 5-6 a day! Anyone see all the jepps and manuals staked up in the CPs Sect office? Reserves are flying just about every day. Also hearing that displacement bids are on hold/cancelled, and that a new hire class might start up. And then you try to pick-up open time and you're denied. Crazy place this ASA is. Meltdown coming JA if you don't get this contract done soon.

The best view of Atlanta was in my rearview mirror last tuesday. After turning in all my company shiite, I got a handshake from Fred Lambert, a hug from Mary Jane and an intern escorted me to the terminal. I walked out to the one hour parking (I had repositioned my crashpad car from the employee lot) and headed west for the Metroplex! It felt as if a huge burden has been lifted!!

I really had been hoping for the best at ASA with the Skywest purchase (I have buds there who love it and make good money) but sadly I think ASA is done.

I wish my ASA brothers and sisters the best and I will keep you in my prayers. Cheers- Rum

Just curiosity speaking here, but could the ASA MEC request a contract stipulated on the resignation of our CEO (AKA, Brian LaBROKE)???

I.E. "Sure we'll sign off on this and accept this contract, but only if BL resigns"......

Why would we want to do that? Remember how happy people were when Skip left? Then remember how pissed people were a week later when Bryan was announced as the new president?

This after being VP of the ATL ramp. We all know what a banged-up job he did there! Agreed, can't see signing a subpar contract just to rid us of BL.

Rumrnr78,

Best of luck!

I get to turn in my stiff jepps and ids in three weeks! It's like waiting for Christmas morning to come when you are a kid. Best of luck!

There is a class in Nov.

I got the same thing on the phone to the GO the other day when I called about displacements. CJR FO's will also be likely displaced to the 700. Those on the ottom, get ready. I was very surprised it didn't happen this month. But probably next month.

There is an easy solution, that I will not be surprised to see. Just give more 700's to Skywest. In reality, this is temporary until we right size our 700 fleet to match our staffing.

I can tell you that the displacements are still happening. I have already done the Ground School & the stimulator from the 70 to the 50. I feel for the the Captains getting kicked to the right seat...I hope it ends soon!

I wonder if we will strike? I saw that stack of pilot stuff in the sec's office; I had a piece of paper in my hand and she asked "you leaving also?" A FO had just turned his stuff in headed to SKW. Hmmmm...Is the handwriting really on the wall? Will ASA go belly up? What about this nice new website we have?
Five from my class have already left; 4 to SKW and one to Horizon.

He's not our CEO, he's COO and President and he works for Skywest INC just as Skip worked for DAL.
