A buddy has an interview with UAE and doesn't know much about the company or the bases or base. I know there was a thread a while back but just curious if anyone can shed a light on what it would be like for someone from the U. S to be based in Dubai?? Work rules, etc, good the bad and the ugly! Thx LOA
 
At pprune most of the opinions your going to get are complaints by the same core group of Brits. If you want an honest run down of how it is over there, in Dubai I assume, do a search and read the posts of typhoonpilot. While all is probably not peachy over there in the sandbox, the Brits on PPrune will almost have you believing they are on suicide watch.
 
Just had a DXB layover.

First impressions: single, go for it, what the hell, plenty of ex-pats and russian girls, very western in the middle of a muslim society. Even during Ramadan we were able to find bangers and mash and a good guinness.

family? no thanks, cement jungle in a giant sand box.

just my first impressions, I'd suggest he takes a trip to DXB to check it out.
 
Well, I know this....if you are not married you cannot live with your fiancee, girlfriend, boyfriend, etc. Any place that can't mind their own business when it comes to your private life is not for me.
 
Maybe Typhoon should post what actually goes on here in EK. I agreed to what Typhoon said mostly but he hasn't posted any reality here.!!!!

C'mon TP, give us your thought on all the negatives here, like how they miss treated the pilots workforce, how many would be good a trainer got turn down from HR not Ops, how many have they screwed on guys upgrade, etc. Too many to list..

Who cares. You can still f uc k them. Why the hell would you want to live with them anyway? It's harder to bring home the Russian whores if you have a live-in.

However, sodomy is illegal, so if your girl likes it up the poop shoot, you have to keep that hush hush.
