Anyone know how to get the 40 cal for half price without doing the the ffdo program.

Go to any official H&K dealer and ask them about the airline pilot program and they have the paper work and will walk you through it.........You of course still have to go through all of the civilian firearm laws both state and federal....

jeeze, I been thinking about getting a Kimber...I wonder if they would do something like that...

The reason H&K did the discount is, that is the same side arm that is issued to the FFDOs. A way for them to own and keep their skills sharp without using their service weapon. And not to mention a good way for H&K to also get a good tax break by selling a few more to the non-FFDO types.

while were on the subject....i dont know much about the FFDO program other than what i learned in indoc...do the Feds issue you a weapon or can you use your own....i have a glock 27..didnt know if that was approved or not?

Holy crap! That's a great deal. I never knew about any of this. Oh well, I'm furloughed now so I guess it doesn't matter

Yeah, it is. But in a moment of weakness I picked one up at the local gun store last week. Shoots great and very accurate. I still plan on taking advantage of the offer. Don't want my current USP to get lonely. :)

Just curious, it makes it sound like all you have to be is a commercial pilot with a sida employment badge? Is that true? Im a 135 cargo guy and would like to upgrade my firearm to an H&K so I can protect my rubber dog sh*t in the back of my Chieftain.

Pardon me for asking... but why not just go through the program? Unless your name says it all, lol.
