Trying to get to Paris on Air France. Have Zed Economy ticket. Few seats in Econ-Many in Business. Anyone have any experience in whether they will upgrade you?

Delta upgrades the nonrev's.
My mother went to and from JFK- Prague round trip and coach over-sold both ways they left paying folks behind loaded up all the non revs in buisness class and left with open seats up front.

Delta buddy passes are always accommodated in First or BusinessElite before Economy. ZED fares are always Economy to my understanding. I've never met anyone that got upgraded on a ZED ticket. I've been curious about the same thing. Please keep us informed on the outcome.

I was on a Zed fare on Qantas and got upgraded when coach was full, I think it depends on the airline.

Swiss upgrades ZED based on first come first serve basis on when you checked in.

Qantas did not upgrade, but when they found out we were flight crew, they took extra good care of us.

When it come to ZEDs, it all depends on the agent. Some will go out of their way to upgrade, others will not under any circumstance.

That said, I know a co-worker at my last airline was upgraded by AF out of CDG, both ways.
