This position acts as Pilot in Command of company aircraft when assigned. The Pilot in Command is responsible for the planning and safe conduct of the flight. This position is the final authority in deciding whether or not a flight can be dispatched. Responsible for the operation of a 13 million dollar corporate asset, when assigned, and the safe transport of key corporate officers, guests of the corporation, subsidiaries and parent company. Manages a crew when assigned and is responsible for the overseeing of maintenance, security and overall safety of the aircraft when away from home base. Assumes the legal responsibility of the operation of the asset when assigned. Assures that all Federal Air Regulations are complied with (both operationally and maintenance), assures that all crew members are properly certificated and fit for safe flight.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage the safe operation of a high performance, inter-continental business jet.
Manages the economics of aircraft operation when assigned, ($1,500/hour).
Manage a professional flight crew when assigned. Must maintain a constant awareness. Responsible for the development of subordinates.
Maintain high proficiency in the aircraft and related airmanship. Must be able to be re-licensed every six months.
Makes final decision for aircraft maintenance when assigned.
Responsible to executive level for the comfort and reliability of travel.
Aircraft is a Challenger 601-3A.
Minimum of two years or the equivalent college
Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot certificate
Hold a valid FAA First Class medical certificate
Must be appropriately rated in the type aircraft.
Have a minimum of 3,400 hours total pilot time.
Have a minimum of 1,500 hours of PIC.
Minimum of 1,000 hours of jet time.
Have a minimum of four years of experience with transport category aircraft, in addition to a minimum of four years general aviation experience (equates to 8 years
Have no violations recorded with the FAA and be able to demonstrate his/her piloting ability to a high standard
Be a leader and confident in decision making.
Bilingual is a plus.
