So let me get this straight:

anti-war = anti-American

What's next...?

--disliking McDonalds = anti-American
--no visits to Disneyworld in the last five years = anti-American
--driving a Volkswagon = anti-American
--never seen Big Jake = anti-American

We need to march over there and remove Saddam from the planet...no question in my mind that some sort of military commitment is necessary.

But since when is preferring peace over war anti-American?

If they can figure out which TSA clown did ths, he or she needs to be on the street. Commentary on the contents of a person's luggage is way, way, way outside their job description.

I happened to have a conversation with one of these TSA folks on an overnight a while back. I cant remember anything signifigant or enlightening from him other than he was awfully proud of his authority to screen single females and their belongings.

Where do I sign up?

And what's even more frightening? The amount of things stolen out of peoples checked luggage. A friend of mine who's a gate agent for a major airline at one of the busiest airports in the country gets many complaints, a lot more than before when ramprats used to 'increase' their income

Metro, you (and your friend) bring up a good point. Either TSA will get blamed for the theft or a person working for the airline.
Don't know what the answer is as far as preventing this. Obviously to have honest people but other than that it becomes a defensive mode for the passenger so don't pack anything you'd hate to lose.
Regarding Spider's comments where the screener gets to work the single women, guess that is one of the "perks". Speculate there a few creeps working for TSA.
Does anyone know what happened to the x-ray/"see through" equipment? They had some at MCO a few months ago but don't know if they're still in use.
