Honorable mention to the Duque de Najera in Rota, Spain and the Sherry Frontenac in MIA...they were good places too.

Barcelona, Prague, Munich, Rio, and Lubbock.

Bye Bye--General Lee

PS--Islip (Ronkonkoma) and Harlingen were close.....

I agree with Barcelona. Munich is not the same city I lived in 20 years ago. It is almost sad to see what it has become. South America has never really done it for me. Prague is nice, but number two on your list? Barbados didn't make your list? And St Maarten?

Anyone been to the "Flyer's Lounge" or the "Truck" in Narita?

How about the "China Jump" in Hong Kong?

Maybe a little Black Jack at the casinos in SYD.

Those were some fun times

My lawyer has ordered me not to make any statements about the "Truck". Thanks for bringing back some awesome memories of misspent youth! God, it's been a long time!

That was a funny skit, but what is really funny is the reaction I get from SWA pilots when I throw a "Ronkonkma" or Harlingen in the mix. They go ballistic. That is a weakness in an otherwise great job, with great pay and fun stews. Take away the same plane forever, the multiple leg days, the 25 minute turns with layovers in places like ELP and MAF, and it might be the perfect job. Hey, to each his own, but not everyone wants what you do, and that drives a lot of you NUTS.

Bye Bye---General Lee

PS--My category in ATL (76ER) flies both International and domestic legs. Not everyone has to fly only international flights. That is called variety.

And of course if anyone says anything disparinging about Delta International Operations some pilots (you) also go "ballistic". Or does it not work both ways? Your supreme thick skin and all...

How can domestic SWA compare at all to your ER gig? Well maybe ..... it can't. Still waiting for you to post an MD-88 trip here GL. Just finished up my 10 hour duty day, got a workout, read a book, early dinner, couple beers - much cheaper than euro rates I might add - still much time left on my 18 hour layover. Your "tired after trips" claim is weak... really. Time for a new line. Ask around your domestic coworkers (yes you do have those that don't wear regional colors) how their duty days and layovers are these days.

Oh, did I mention how many of my buds still work for Delta and how many say the ER sux and they have bid back to domestic 75/76? I know all about choices and all. Glad Delta mgt chose to give all those domestic cities to your RJ/life partners to make that choice even harder. Not every Delta pilot shares your view about the one ER leg to dream-land Gl. But for some it is really a FANTASTIC schedule...

FANTASTIC RJs to Canada too. Never heard back from you on that issue either I think.

Keep up the good work,

BD
