This is %$%^#in bull$%^ seriously. These people have the balls to take a group of 700 on an extravagant all expense paid trip while they claim to have no money?!! Are you ^$%#$ing kidding me?! Corporate fraud artisans at their best. Best part, we have an administration that does absolutely nothing about it in our or any other industry. Thanks NWA, and thank you Mr. Bush!!!!
Sorry folks had to vent; after you read this you will want to too!!!!

The President has exactly what to do with corporate spending? You DO know what the federal government is for, right? Hint: it's not to micromanage private enterprise.

They don't get to play "Hands off, government" when they're in bankruptcy court seeking protection from their creditors, while pissing away money at the same time. Nice try.

As long as the government's mitigating their debts, they're no longer a purely "private enterprise" until they're out of Chapter 11. You know that.

Just so you know these were not a bunch of management types having a good time but telephone agents being rewarded for pushing sales.Very normal in the sales game in lot of different industry's.

A Texas boy turning on Bush? What happened to you? I understand the thank you NWA, but Bush, cmon. Did he really have anything to do with this?

yes, I'm sure Bush himself was consulted before this trip.

Don't blame him, blame the irresponsible people squandering this money . . . you can't say that sales people are only going to be productive when you kiss their as$ and send their boyfriends down to Mexico where they can boink each other in paradise. Sorry, I'm not sold, I'd be pissed too, WS599

This trip may have been ill-advised financially, but at least it wasn't executives who were on the trip. The company threw the trip for their top reservation agents- the working class, not the execs. I'm sure it will be great for morale, even if it wastes money and pi$$es off everyone else who didn't go.

For a truly outrageous situation, you have to go to AMR. Dozens of vice presidents and other executives are being paid bonuses of millions, even after employees gave steep concessions and are toiling to save the company money. Any chances we may have had for respect and cooperation are now gone for good.

Thanks.....

I couldn't have put it better myself. That is exactly what I was trying to articulate in the first place. Now adressing other's comments in a logical manner:
1.) I DO blame these irresponsible management types that run their respective companies into the ground, yet have the gall to sit in front of a judge and ask for millions in bonuses.(or take frivolous all expense paid trips to Mexico.)
2.) I do NOT care if it was working or middle class taken on this trip. It makes ZERO difference. The point here is as the gentleman stated before, you cannot ask the government to mitigate debt while squandering money needlessly.....
3.) As for the Bush comment. I am not pointing the finger specifically at him or his administration for a trip taken by NWA employees. I AM pointing the finger at him for not doing ANYTHING for people who have broken their backs for 30 years; only to be laughed at regarding having any sort of retirement. That goes for NWA, GM, whoever. Car industry, Airline industry, whomever. Do YOU want to work until your 90?? I do not. Sorry.

Yea I agree... Don't blame Bush for this... There's so much more you can pin on that monkey. You know: the economy, the wasted billions in Iraq, no environmental concern, oil prices, Dick Cheney, repeated criminal acts in big business that go unpunished, worldwide shame, lack of alternative fuels research, the TSA, the Patriot Act, a bunch of empty promises about social security reform and healthcare.....I could go on all day....

How dare you pin this on poor Bushie... BTW, Bush is about as "Texan" as the New England Patriots.. Don't worry though, I happen to think thats one of his better qualities....(steers & queers).... I think he could rewrite Brokeback Mountain with a few minor changes and call it his memoirs...

:D

Dude, Bush is as responsible for their actions as you are for Mesa screwing up the airline industry.

Eventually we will see these corporate guys getting some serious Fed Pen time for wrecking every company they put their hands on.

Hey I just saw something on the tv that said that 33% of people attending the Super Bowl tomorrow are going on corporate accounts. NW happens to have big interests there in Detroit . . . . I am SURE that there are no NWA people at the Super Bowl on company money. :)

Captain Ahab was destroyed by his monomaniacal obsession with the white whale, as will many dems be destroyed politically by their obsession with trying to damage Bush by blaming him for anything they think might stick.

Get over it you babies.

Specifically, which white collar criminals is Bush letting go free? Hmmmmm???

Bernie Ebbers is in the Clink, as are many others. Ken Lay is next in line.

Methinks you have no case.

But rage on, it makes winning the last election all the more pleasurable.
