This time there is alot more at stake just make me wonder if someone is actally going to walk the walk.
In bankruptcy it doesn't matter, the choice is being made for you.
xjhawk said:taking concessions when you are going from 200 grand to a hundred grand a year hurts, but at least when you tighten up, you are selling a florida condo, a ski cottage, and getting rid of a sports car. The FO's at Mesaba are being asked to go down to 20 grand from mid twenties and barely thrirty grand a year. Our fearless leaders said we need to tighten our belts, to maybe downsize homes and such....well, those idiots do not realise that we already cannot afford to buy a house, and many of us are living with family already. I would rather shut the company down than to go back to making sub 25, and thats only a 4 grand difference.....but i still say, screw them.
Not exactly.XJ-spartacus said:If the pilots sign a concessionary deal, then I don't believe it will matter what Duane signs. It's our obligation to hold the line, not Duane's.

D'Angelo said:its game over already. He cant allow airlines like Mesa to get contracts like they did and then tell everyone else no concessions. The rules either apply to all or none. You cant drop the ball and then 4 years later try to make someone your sheep to the slaughter. Its a democracy so vote how you must and let the chips fall where they may
BluDevAv8r said:I won't defend the rates, rules, and benefits at Mesa...but please put into context the dillemma they were facing with respect to Freedom Air, an alter-ego carrier that was up and running. It wasn't a black and white simple rational decision for the Mesa pilots.
