I just pulled this off of our pilot message board. If this piece-of-crap TA passes, you will be in a world of hurt if you are a new hire at NJA and you don't already live in or near one of our RCA's (remember WE HAVE NO FORMAL JUMPSEAT AGREEMENTS WITH ANYONE.) The RCA's will be CMH, EWR, DFW, MCO, and LAX for those that don't know.

-------------------------------------------------
[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]I was just made aware that the company is planning on conducting all new hire training at the RCA's. This would mean that new hire "expenses" that would now be paid under the new TA will actually be null and void.

The company's stand point is that the training is at their RCA and therefore no hotel or rental car will be provided. Regardless of the distance from their home and the training facility. The argument being that they are required to reside at the RCA, therefore they do not get travel, per diem, hotel, etc while at training.

So if a new hire was planning on commuting to the RCA they would be forced to pay out of their own pocket... How do they plan on accomplishing this? They don't have simulators in place? From the quotes below you can see their M.O. He doesn't have specific info on what sims will be going to the other RCAs but believes that there will be "considerable" resources moved into those areas as needed...

From management:
"Anyone caught on to the fact that you WILL NOT get your hotel's paid for at training yet? Yep, that's right no perdiem, no hotel, no car! Why? Training is going to be at the RCA's. RM's just signed off the sims in MCO for V, X, and XL. FSI is adding sims in LA area, and so on."

For those that were planning on moving to the RCA, but didn't have time between accepting the job and starting the job, they are out of luck because the new TA states

In 15.1a
The Company shall have no obligation to pay moving expenses prior to the applicant’s completion of initial training.
