I've been looking around and I'm wondering if anyone has a breakdown how many A/C are in each fleet. I'm mostly just curious. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Thanks!

Matt

Here's some info that's about 4 months old, I'll list the fleet plan for this month. It should be fairly accurate but not exact.

BE-400A: 29
CE-560: 61
CE-560E: 16
CE-560XL: 60
CE-560XLS: 37
CE-680: 25
CE-750: 70
DA-2000: 31
DA-2000EZ: 5
G-200: 27
800XP: 22
800XPC: 20

By the end of the year we supposed (key word supposed) to have 6 Hawker 900XP's and 3 Hawker 4000's but I wouldn't hold my breath. Also, rumor says the 1st CE-560E+ (Encore+) is due in November.

I saw one in the GSO service center a few weeks ago; looked like a pretty nice setup up front. There were all sorts of black boxes bolted to the floor in the back of the thing, and "Experimental" on the door.

I asked the Cessna pilot about the boxes, and he said they were testing different FADEC software on the engines. Nice!

When I was in ICT for recurrent this past January, the first class of Encore+ people were going through FSI. These were regular customers, not NJA pilots.

How is the system different up front? What's new about it?

It's all Collins Proline 21 stuff, versus the Honeywell stuff that's been in prior models like the Ultra and regular Encore. New displays, new FMS, new everything. Should be a great improvement.

Collins vs Honeybucket.

The fleet will be seperate. 3 fleets: U-boat/Encore/Encore+

Encore = XL with different cabin. Both are recieving Collins in the + models. Both will be seperate from the previous NJA fleet.

Later

Huh?

It also has no provision for an APU, a honey bucket instead of an external lav, different fuselage, different engines...... The XL's wing is derived from the Ultra's, and the tail sections are indeed are the same, but otherwise it has more in common with the VII than the Ultra, I think. The XLS+ will also be using EICAS, which the Encore+ won't.

But they all still drive like Cessnas. :D

Think Systems.

(You can't fit an apu/stand-up lav(at least for me)/etc.)

So the tail moves on a XL/XLS. Only out sheer stupidity does it need that flaps out of zero mechi'nism anyway. PW 535 vs PW 545 wow different thermal ratings. And, they added two (unheated) feet to the outboards of the wings on the XL vs the Encore. Trailing link landing gear. Etc.

Now back to the issue at hand. The systems are the same. If you had an Encore type rating then I'd give you a XL rating. In fact that is what Cessna was trying to do with the XL series a/c. Think de-ice boot on tail. Think common type.

I've flown both. And, for simplicity I think of them as the same but with different people containers.

Edit: spelling errors.
