I am interested in two outfits in Los Angeles - XtraJet and Executive Aviation. I have looked at their respective websites and am familiar with their fleets, etc.

Questions related to these two outfits:

1. Does anyone know what it is like to work for them?

2. Are types a requirement (e.g., GIV type or GII type)?

3. Anyone know anything about their terms or schedules?

Personally, I'd love to fly a Gulfstream out of the LA Basin - and so would most people...

Thanks

Heavy Set,

I'm also in the LA area and looking for work although I'm still employed. I've been out to the local airports on fact-finding missions wearing my best suit with resumes in tow and I would say in this environment if you don't have a type-rating with time in type you won't even be considered for an entry-level F/O job, gazillion of hours of jet time notwithstanding. Not to say you won't get lucky or be at the right place at the right time.

If you have any luck let us know!

Heavey Set,

I am a pilot here in the LA. STAY AWAY FROM EXTRA JET!!! The guy who runs it should be in jail, and the opation is bottom of the barrell.

I am not familiar with Executive Aviation.

Yes...stay far, far away from Xtra Jet. I was in TEB a few months ago watching one of their Captains try decide how to pay for fuel with a company fuel card that was rejected!! I know a guy that works there.....he says that the airplanes never go into MX...but somehow the "magic pen" appears and signs off all required inspections.

Where is Executive Aviation based?? I am very familar with operators in the SoCal area and never heard of that one.

Good luck.
