A little birdie told me that XJT has purchased Pinnacle (note past tense). Just wondering what the guys a Pinnacle have heard to support/refute this claim. Also, wondering what that group thinks about the marriage.

Our own MEC chairman as of last week still had not heard anything past the original announcement of an offer a few weeks ago. We never got any official word from NWA or our own Management to support any info we had.

So as for it being past-tense.....no announcement has been made.

T-Gates, your union will be the last to know, just becouse they don't know anything means absolutly nothing. Let me take that back, you (the pilot group) will be the last to know.

Oh I fully realize that! I'm sure one day I'll just show up for a CLE turn and the plane will be in CO colors.....thats how they'd like us to find out....:D

I don't know about any forthcoming announcement other than to say that our Director of Flight Ops was spouting off about the whole thing in one of our crew rooms last week and then the company (XJET) was informed by the SEC that they needed to shut up due a "blackout period".

XJET was approached by NW management to "make an offer" on Pinnacle. XJET "made" an offer in XJET stock, not dollars. Apparently NW was looking for cold hard cash and weren't too interested.

That could all have changed by now. Who knows.

The SEC imposes a 30 day no-comment period after something like this. At least that's what I've heard, so expect no news for a few more weeks. By the way, NW is probably going to have a hard time getting any sizeable amount of cash for Pinnacle. We own NOTHING, all we have at present is a service agreement with NW. The agreement is amenable anytime NW feels like changing something. Not a very attractive picture to future investors.

I doubt that any info on this issue will be true until the SEC blackout period is over. We at XJet have some expierence with this crap from when CAL sold us off. We didnt even see it coming.

One things for certain, if this goes through, the pilots of Pinnicle and XJet must stick together and not fight about BS. Even if I have to take a slight seniority hit, I believe we must insist that we are operated as a single group!

Cheers guys, we'll all have a beer and a laugh when this thing blows over!

exactly, mr. hat. when/if this comes about, this is walkable, in my book.. we cannot let a difference in uniform or color of our airplanes create any animosity between the two groups. and even more important than being friendly and love-dovey, we cannot let management pit us against each other. we can go ahead and hate each other, if that's what we want to do, but we have to stick together to prevent a classic managment whisaw.

I completely agree guys. And I think that is the sentiment on our side as well.

Lets see where this whack-o ride takes us!

Agreed! Let's stick together and do things right the first time. I'll sit reserve in DTW.;)

Mr. Hat:

Some industry watchers within your seniority list actually did see it coming, notified the appropriate "union" personnel and were summarily told to "Take a seat and leave your crazy ideas to the internet message boards where those types of ideas belong."

Sincerely,

Do you guys have Ready Reserve?

Yes, it is called "Airport Standby." You sit at the airport for 5 hours and are credited 3.75 hours towards your 75 hour guarantee. There are some other rules as well but that is the general jist of it.

Sam
