I am in the March 8th class and have orientation on the 26th of this month. Here is the details I recieved.

You need to bring a copy of your resume
copy of your driving record
copy of Diploma or transcripts from High school
copy of College transcripts or any college you attended
copy of tax returns and w-2's
4 references unrelated to you for the last 10 years
name and address of all schools attended in last 10 years and when you attended
complete 10 year address history
employement history for last 10 years including name, address, phone number, supervisors name, and brief job descriptions.

Not sure if all is required by the time you get there. I got my call last week and am racing to gather all the info before the orientation. Transcripts can take up to a week to get if you don't live close to the school.

Hope this helps. Hope to see you guys out on the line soon. Keep those new hires coming behind me.

regards

Actually it says all schools attended, not just the last 10yrs.:D

Probably to get an honest list of past employeers. If you collected a paycheck from someone then you filed it in your taxes. No chance of hiding them that way I guess.

Actually, they only need the old W2's or 1040's if the company went out of business or you have no current contact info. If you have a current name/phone number for your old employer, you are free to stow the W2's in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.

Let me correct my previous post. I apologize. The W-2's are basically to verify any employment gaps in your history greater than 30 days if you do not have any gaps like that then the W-2's are not required. Sorry for the misinformation earlier. Also as 007 stated earlier the school information is for ALL not just the 10 years as I eroneously posted.

Here's what it says:

Tax and W-2 Forms:These forms are used to verify any unemployment gaps greater than 30 days and account for any former employer who is no longer in business. if you have verified your privious employer's numbers and contact personnel for our verification, you do not need to provide any tax forms for that time frame.

So, it sounds to me that you dont need to bring w-2's IF you have current contact information for your past employers?

whats your take?

Here is a question

Di they only want college transcripts to verify if you graduated? If you only took a few classes here and there do they still want them?

Question for March 26th and 3rd Orientation holders...are they flying us down for the orientation or do they expect us to make our own travel arrangements this time?

I'm pretty sure that they're flying us down again. Talked to Dawn a few days ago to change my departure city and she said she'd take care of it.

Haven't gotten an e-mail yet about it though. Scheduled for the orientation on the 3rd.

Thanks nofree... keep us posted if you do receive an e-mail. I'll do the same. BTW did you receive any e-mail with documentation to bring for the 3rd?? Congratulations...I hope to see you on the 3rd.

Ive worked for several companies in the past 10 years that have gone out of business. I have no idea where my w2's are. Am I out of luck?

Write an adendum up stating exactly that and do everything you conn to establish some kind of employment trail with them. Find information about the company such as when they went out of business. Check the local Records office at the commerce department for the city they were based in. Thats public information. That should help. Its all for your background check that they are required to do. Also I have not yet completed my degree and I still had to turn in my transcripts. See you guys out there. Good luck

You can call the IRS to get your w-2 information. They will ask you a bunch of questions and then send it to you. No problem.

........

You only need W-2's if the company physically doesn't exist anymore. Can't get them right away, don't worry, you have a bit, but your background check can't be finished until you have it all. Take some initiative and call ALL your old employers, even the YMCA, as for someone who can verify employment, get their name and number, and that's all you'll need, oh, and the address also. If you can't GET EVERYTHING by orientation time, you won't be flogged for it.

Why?

Anyone know why they want transcripts if a degree is not required for the job? I would think if they don't require a degree then you shouldn't have to furnish transcripts. I might be a bit of a conspiracy theory nut case here. But they could use that against you.
