There is now a board set up on www.calforums.com that is open to the public for prospective new hires. Check it out and feel free to start asking questions over there. You'll get much better information over there than here.

uhh...you must be on the seniority list to get on?????

and it says prospective XJET pilots not allowed

ahh, read carefully, i had to read it again, it says noW allowed.

takes 3 or 4 days to get an approved registration anyways, so might not be helpful in the very short term.

See you in Houston on Feb. 11!

It won't take 3 or 4 days. Just use your full name and you should be approved quickly. Trust me, you will get better info on there. Over 2000 of our pilots are registered.

Folks, just got permission to post this for everyone.

Anyone interested in flying for XJT can register.

"Hello,

If you are reading this, you are either a member of XJT and registered normally on the boards, or a PROSPECTIVE NEWHIRE, and been allowed into Calforums with the permission to view this one category for security reasons. Here's some basic guidelines for this special category:
Please Ask questions or post topics concerning new hire info only. Any other thread topics will not be permitted for order and security reasons.
Users with the "Prospective Newhires" tagline are not XJT employees. Please treat them with dignity and respect you would expect as an outsider.
"Prospective Newhires" do not have the ability to search the forums. They can only post in this category. Please do not link threads addressing issues to other areas of the boards, as they will not be able to view those links.
*** UPDATED INFO *** In order for a newhire prospective to register they follow the normal register links like anyone else. The registration process has been changed to give instructions for those individuals to include NEWHIRE in the Employee # & Hiredate profile fields when registering. The admin gatekeepers allow these idividuals in with the PROSPECTIVE NEWHIRE usergroup permission that allows them to only view and post in this one area of Calforums..they cannot see access or search any other area of the board. Other than that, the registration process is the same...Real names (as far as we know) and valid emails are still required in order to avtivate their accounts
Well that's it...nothing too strange.

Hope we can make this a place for all future employees to gain some good insight as many did in our pre-hiring phase!"

Hope this helps,

scotts

my bad...

oops, it is quicker than 3 or 4 days, I was approved in 3 or 4 hours. Thanks for the heads up.

OK... I confess that I am an idiot could one of you guys walk me through the process to register. I went to the link above and was not able to find the way to register>
Thanks

Click on the ERJ picture at the bottom of the page (left). It will then take you to a new window with a box titled "vBulletin Message". There are spaces for a user name and a password but don't enter anything in those until you register. Click on the blue tag labeled "register" with the administrator at the bottom of this box. This will then lead you to a new screen, read the rules and check box to proceed. It will then take to a registration page where you enter all your information. Be sure to include your whole name or they will not activate your account. Check you e-mail within 10 minutes that will finalize your confirmation and within a hour or so you will have access.
C-ya!;)
