Don't worry, not everyone at our company is as immature as BG, I mean ATRCA. The split was caused for a variety of reasons, but mostly because the structure just wasn't working for either side. For example, some on the CAL side of the MEC said they'd vote against a strike authorization vote, etc. I don't think the relationship with management will change much.
