I have an interview next week and I have had trouble finding any in depth history on Express Jet. What were the three companies that formed COEX originally? This is the company that I would truly want to work for so any last minute pointers could help.

Jim Ream is our CEO.

John Ornstein used to be our CEO!

We are in Capacity Purchase agreement with continental airlines. whereby they purchase all of our seats and sell them as their own. They currently dictate all of our routes and frequency.

Used to have a base in Bangor ME of all places.

Our radio call sign is "Jetlink 0000" Our ATC tag is "BTA" Britt air

We operated EMB 120s brasilias, ATR 42s, and 72s, Beech 1900s until 2000 when we began phasing all of our turboprops out for the emb145/135.

We took our first delivery of the 145 in 1997, I think...We started getting the 135 sometime later but decided to go with the 145 instead. There are 5 different variants of the jubgle jet on our property right now....the differences are mostly negligible and have to do with mostly fuel and payload differences. The systems are all identical otherwise.

There is not going to be a whole lot of literature out there about any of the smaller(and by smaller I mean less than 2500 pilots):D airlines out there so if you do find some interesting article, let us know.

Sorry that this isn't relevant to this specific post..but I didn't want to start a new one. Anyone else out there that has filled out the online app for XJT within the past 3 weeks and received a call back? Its been right at 3 weeks since I submitted it but I haven't heard a thing.

Is this your first time filling out the online app? I waited almost 45 days the first time just to find out I was short by 13hrs of actual. The second time around when the actual requirement was lowered I heard back within 15 days. Hang in there everyone I know that has applied has heard from them but usually it is at least two weeks. I also want to thank everyone who has responded to my first post.

The hours definitely aren't a problem. Oh well, if I don't hear anything by next week perhaps I'll resubmit.

One other thing....of those of you that did receive a call back, were you available to answer the call or did they leave a voice mail? Having a full time corporate flying job sometimes I may not be able to take calls at a given moment. When ASA called rescently they left a message with a name and number to call back....just wondering if XJT does the same.

under the microscope

some real interview advice that's free, be your self. NO BODY LIKES A KNOW IT ALL. do your best and think of that first impression is the best. they are more concerned if they can stand you after a four day trip than if you know the month and day CAL paid up for brit. if you dont have a like-able personality, get one
